Hi guys, I recently received my medical exam request from IRCC. Me and my wife are now in Canada, and the baby will be born in Canada, we have decided to defer the X-ray for her until the baby is born.
So the question is:
1: Will my application gets processed once I submit all my medical files?(I am the primary applicant)

2: How and where do I send the deferral letter to CIC?

3: Do I have to add my child to the application once he/she is born? Since he/she will be born in Canada, he/she will get Canadian passport for sure, so I am confusing on this part.

Thanks for your time.

This is common as a lot of people choose not to risk the X-ray for the sake of the child.

1. Yes. Just let the panel physician know that your wife will return after the baby is born to complete her medical exam.
2. Mention it in your letter of explanation.
3. Let them know as soon as the baby is born since you're required to notify IRCC of any change in family size. This would be for their information only as the baby would be a Canadian citizen at birth like you rightly stated. They will probably ask for a birth certificate for their records but you won't need to sponsor the child for PR.

Thanks for the info!
So I will get the PR regardless of my wife's X-ray?
And where do I send the letter of explanation?
