i have no idea what it is? is it mandatory to submit medical report with application submission?
Under the EE, you just need to submit upfront medical receipt, the report will be transmitted to IRCC by your panel physician.

Hello @legalfalcon

Today i received the following email for my enquiry from LVO..

Your application is undergoing background checks. These checks take time, cannot be expedited and are not conducted by the London office. At times, these can take several months.

Rest assured, we will be in contact when these are completed. Unfortunately, we cannot move forward with your case until the checks are completed.

We thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

VCM

Does it means that my application is in security screening?

Looking forward for your reply.

Best Regards
Slmaan
To know if you are under SS, you will need to see your GCMS notes, and CBSA notes.

Hi Legalfalcon. I am planning to land in Toronto for the first time as PR in June this year. As I understand the financial year in Canada is from Jan to Dec. I have been employed since the beginning of this year in my home country and earning income from the same. When I file taxes in Canada next year for 2018, do I need to show the income I earned prior to my first entry into Canada?
No, only after you land and become a resident, you will show only that income. You will however, have to file your taxes in India.

Hi @legalfalcon

Please tell me, If I send consent form for GCMS notes, do cic tells them my password as well? or can they ask cic to reject my application?
The consent form is only for the purpose of obtain the GCMS notes. The consent form does not provide any information about your application, to the consent holder. Also the GCMS notes are released by the ATIP division of IRCC, which is a separate division than the one which processes your applications.

@legalfalcon
Hi I am new to this forum, need your help and guidance. I have 3 years IT experience with IELTS band clb 9 in all sections.

I have got ECA report from WES recently, please help me to claim appropriate points-

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Diploma (two years), bachelor's degree (four years)

My education history- I have done 2 years BTEC HND (Higher National Diploma) from Edexcel, London, UK. Then did one year Top Up degree from a UK university. I was given exempted credits for the first two years and only studied final year at university but got full Bachelors Degree certificate. My transcript mentioned my final year credits (120 credits) in details and
Exempt credits for prior learning at level 4 - 120 credits
Exempt credits for prior learning at level 5 - 120 credits
(does not mention anything regarding my diploma)

Total 360 credits and received 3 years bachelors degree certificate!

When I was filling EE profile I have filled details of my HND without any problem. Then I have added my Bachelors degree, here I had filled up a question regarding completed academic years, I have written 3 years though in reality I did attend only 1 year but got credits for other two years hence I chose 3 years.

In the question regarding Level of education I chose "Bachelors Degree". Then another question Level of education according to the ECA report I chose again "Bachelors Degree".

After submitting my profile I have received 50 skill transferablity points. I think system awarded me points for "Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees, one must be three or more years long".

Here is my confusion, "one must be three or more years long". I did bachelors only 1 year but WES evaluated as 4 years bachelors degree hence system awarded me the points. As per the ECA report I do fulfill the requirements as it is clearly says Diploma (two years), bachelor's degree (four years) according to my transcript I may not fulfill that 3 years degree condition. Even if I write One year as the completed academic years my score stays same because level of education is Bachelors Degree.

Now the big question. Is it going to be misrepresentation?
Please list your degrees and the ECA clearly. Not your credits.

Hello Legalfalcon. Thanks. Yes, I will be filing taxes in India. Do I need to show proof of the filed taxes in Canada? Like Form 16 and ITR?

Hi Legal falcon,

Hope you are doing well ! I have a very basic question for you...
I have a permanent full-time job offer and i am planning to apply for Ontario Immigration Nominee Program under Employer Job Offer Category : International Student Stream.

However, i am thinking this stream does not come under express entry as there are only two current streams right now under EE.

Therefore, my question is, if i the nomination for the employer job offer category, do i get additional 600 CRS points ? And if not, then is there any other program/procedure through which i may be eligible to apply for my PR with this nomination.

Thank you for your time. Looking forward hearing from you!
If you hold a job offer, you already get points for it and you do not need PNP nomination for it.

@legalfalcon, I got your reply in the telegram chat room, but here’s my follow-up question. I am an FSW outland applicant.

My salary structure is fairly complicated. Although the reference letter does mention most of the sources of my pay, still the amount written in the letter is the base salary that’s below the country’s typical minimum wage when considering hours worked per week. Instead I get performance-based pays and bonuses. These are written in the reference letter but not the exact amounts.

I have already submitted the work reference letter with four monthly paystubs. These paystubs don't show any performance-based pays or bonuses because I didn’t receive any in those months, although the reference letter mentions that those sources of extra payments exist. Will it be helpful to update IRCC by providing additional paystubs, or is it unnecessary since there's no minimum wage requirement in the first place? I’m just worried if this could be the basis of rejection.

Thank you very much for your time.
I believe I answered your questions. If not, please re-post.

what could be the issue with my case as I'm still stuck in IP1?
Why info sharing has not been completed in your opinion.
For your info, I used to Live in the USA before.
Thank you for your assistance on this request
What do the notes at the end of the GCMS notes say. Is there a note on eligibility?

Hi @legalfalcon,

Apologies if you have answered this question already somewhere.
What are your thoughts on those cases that moved to IP2 on 27th Feb? (I am one of them and haven't received my notes yet). Was that a legitimate change or a glitch, and do you think these cases will be finalised soon?

Thanks in advance
It was a mass file movement to clear the backlog, as the student visa applications are piling up.

Dear Sir, hope you are well. Thank you so much for your advice once again. I raised the CSE and got the confirmation that it has been passed to the concerning office. I believe my application is in IP1 stage at the moment like lots of other from March AOR. I was going through a thread and something caught my attention.

While filling up my personal history, I mentioned about my second degree for which I don't have ECA. I didn't include it in my EE profile obviously. However, I didn't mentioned about it in my LoE and include the degree certificates, that I do not have ECA hence didn't include it in the EE profile. Further more, I worked in a hospital from September 2010 till August 2015 full-time/part-time depending on my work limit while attending college. I didn't claim points for it either as it falls under NOC category C. However, I did mention that in the personal history but breaking it down in two timelines. To be specific,

Work in hospital Jan 2015 - Aug 2015
MBA Feb 2012 - Jan 2015
Work in hospital Sept 2010 - Feb 2012

Some senior advised me to not overlap the time line while filling up forms for e-APR and hence I did the same. Now after going through the Reasons for Rejection Thread, I read that you could overlap just cannot have a gap. Should I be worried that I didn't mention about the MBA and work at the hospital in the LoE and that I didn't claim points for them? Is there any chance of rejection because of that or even misrepresentation for mentioning hospital job in separate timeline just to not overlap? Please let me know if I should raise another CSE or just wait if additional documents for MBA or hospital job is requested! Your advice is highly appreciated. Thank you very much.
ECA is only required for your high-test degree for which you are claiming points.
Personal history will overlap with your travel and work history.
In your work history you will have to disclose only those employments for which you are claiming points.

There is no such thing as "Senior," just because someone successfully filed their application does not make them an expert. Unless a person has professionally studied Immigration law, knows constitutional and administrative law, and has experience dealing with immigration applications, only his advised counts. Rest everything is noise.

Dear Sir,
I just received my Indian Police Clearance Certificate and it states that "...this certificate will not render me ineligible for the grant of travel facilities including visa for Canada"
Will this certificate work for Express Entry application for permanent residence?
This is the standard language, and can be used for EE, work visa or tourist visa.

Good day legalfalcon, if an application is rejected or found inadmissible, can the dependants under the application apply separately without including the principal applicant in of the rejected application or does the penalty applies to every applicant under the rejected application Tanx.
