Yes, you'll get the certificate after you take the oath. You'll have to wait two business days before you go apply for a passport.Hi everyone.
When do we get Certificate of citizenship? we need this for passport application. Do they give this document on the Oath ceremony day?
Thanks buddy .Yes, you'll get the certificate after you take the oath. You'll have to wait two business days before you go apply for a passport.
(Make sure to take all the documents they tell you to bring. They'll take your PR card and may update your COPR. If you don't bring the documents they ask, they may reschedule your oath, or withhold your certificate until you've sent them the documents.)

The correspondence sent last week is the Fingerprint request. Finally i got it by mail. I booked an appointment for tomorrow with RCMP. And along with the fingerprint request there is a bleu page stating the local office processing my file: 200-877 Expo Blvd in vancouver.Ecas just updated :
I wonder what it is ?! Fingerprints maybe? What could it be as a correspondence/documents requested?
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 7, 2017.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 26, 2018.
- We started processing your application on March 13, 2018.
- We sent you correspondence on April 3, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
My advice for you is the following:The correspondence sent last week is the Fingerprint request. Finally i got it by mail. I booked an appointment for tomorrow with RCMP. And along with the fingerprint request there is a bleu page stating the local office processing my file: 200-877 Expo Blvd in Vancouver.
Anybody from this office can tell me what’s next now and estimated time for the next steps please?
