@HLR it never changed to "In Progress", same for a friend who has their test on April 10. Still says: "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."

Overall I think Vancouver office processed it pretty quick.

I agree! I had been comparing my timeline to yours (despite sending our applications on the same day, I was ~2.5 weeks behind you in processing). But then we both got a FP request at the same time. You sent yours in faster... but then for the rest of the process, I have been 1 week ahead of you!

So all of my earlier angst of being "behind" was for nothing, because in the end, those few weeks' difference made no difference at all.

So I have my test coming up but I can’t find my original IELTS certificate. I have photocopies. Will a copy suffice? The test centre said they can’t send me another original as it was more than two years ago.

In majority of the cases including mine, the officers didn't even ask for language proof. I'm assuming they judge based on your conversation skills.

I would suggest to take the photocopy as well as any other proof you can find like degrees/diplomas/transcripts as backup. Good luck

If you used the IELTS for immigration purposes then you sent the original to IRCC for your PR application. They are aware of this, so should be okay with you bringing in a photocopy.

There is a good chance, as razerblade mentioned, that the officer won't even ask to see any proof if they notice your English skills are good enough. But if you have alternative proof do take it.
