Hey all, did you notice that Oct 2017 applications in Scarborough are not getting invites for the ceremony ?
Do you know why it is slow?

Hey all, did you notice that Oct 2017 applications in Scarborough are not getting invites for the ceremony ?
Do you know why it is slow?

Scarborough office has a large Oath backlog even before Bill C-6 took effect on 11-Oct, so all applicants with decision made are sitting in that long queu.

They are issuing Oath invites for those who applied on or before August 2017..so hang in there, it will be a few months before Oct. applicants start receiving invites.

As of June 2017, there were over 67,000 applications in inventory. Ontario typically processes over 1/3rd of all citizenship applications, the bulk of which are in Scarborough and Mississauga. As you can imagine, there was a massive flooding of applications in October. It's going to take a while to get through those. There is a regular stream of oath invites in this forum from that office.
