Where are you mailing from?

I'd recommend couriering so you can confirm they definitely received it via the tracking.

I couriered via Canada Post Xpress Post from BC -> Mississauga.
It was around $18 and that's guaranteed 2 days delivery within Canada.

My MP sent to it to them through Canada Post Xpress for free! Like, they gave me some label that I attached to it and then I took it to the post office and they sent it off without making me pay anything. You could check with your MP's office to see if they do that in your area.

No you got lucky that Canadian taxpayer paid for your shipping. They really shouldn't have done that and I doubt other offices would allow it.

I don't know, they framed it more like a service they provide than some sort of special treatment. I'm certainly not the only one they do it for.

And the Canadian taxpayer funds all the MP's offices. This just seemed like one more service they provide, on top of the others. Maybe I'm wrong, but it was something they offered themselves! Maybe it's not worth asking for then, idk.
