I think I am going to go with option # 1, however, I am not sure how to tell IRCC about the renewal; there is no way to do so through myCIC website, so is there an email address I could use to send this information to IRCC? or a webform I could use to inform IRCC about the renewal?

I've also seen posts suggesting to include a photocopy of the previous passport (pre renewal passport on record with the IRCC) and an LoE when submitting the new passport (post renewal) and photographs to VFS. What's your take on this? TIA

After you get the new PP, simple send the scan of the PP via CSE.

Once your new PP scan is submitted with IRCC, there is no need for sending the old PP or the photocopy of it. The instructions for sending the PP is clearly listed, and it does not include a photo copy of the old passport.

I hope you are doing good. My situation is kind of complex. So I applied express entry in July 2017 and I got GCMS notes which says Eligibility is under review required, Criminality is in process and security is blank. They asked me for additional documents 2 times already.
Then I have another paper file going on for PR after AINP since March 27th, 2017. I got married at March 28th, 2017 but I haven't updated them as I was thinking me and my spouse will get Express Entry earlier. In Jan I got RPRF request and then I notified them about marriage and paid fees for both of us. So my question is-
1). What are they checking in Criminality which is in progress or what is Criminality all about in express entry?
2). I haven't got medical request for my paper file yet but when I check online it said medical received. So can they use same medicals which me and my wife did for express entry? We did those in June 2017 so technically they are also over 6 months.

I am so worried and confused about what's going on with my files!!

Criminality simple refers to checking whether the applicant has been convicted of any criminal charges which would bar him or her from entering Canada.

CIC has an obligation to avoid duplication of work or unnecessary costs in the processing of an application. Unless a client specifically requests CIC to process two or more applications at the same time, all applications will be held by CIC until processing on the initial application is completed. Applicants are encouraged to submit new applications only if they have new facts or evidence.

I was reviewing the documents submitted along with my application and was bit surprised to see in all of my documents my father name is censored and also my wife's father name is censored in all her documents. Kindly advise what could be the reason for it?

Security is a complicated and strange process. It is a closely guarded secret and not disclosed to the public. However, it is certain that in security an applicant's parents, spouses, siblings are also looked into, and this could be a reason.

I just received ppr ytd and I was asked to send all required documents to VO-Ottawa.

I’m currently in canada, however my spouse is in Hong Kong. We are both holding hk passport which is a visa-exempt country. So according to the instruction I only have to send both of our photos and photocopy of passport bio page. My question is, do I have to submit a request for change of VO for my spouse so he can submit the documents to his nearest VO? Or is it ok if I just ask him to mail me two photos and I will submit both our documents together to ottawa?

Since you do not have to send the physical Passport, simple send the photocopies, no need to change the VO. However, you spouse, when he/she enters Canada, will need an original copy of the CoPR if landing as a PR.

I requested for GCMS notes via getgcms.com on the 20th of March but i have not noticed any changes on my timeline.Although i have been sent a reference number from getgcms.com .I am just worried that there is an issue with the application because usually people talk about changes in ADR.

Requesting GCMS notes does not always result in change in status in MyCIC. Also, you just requested GCMS on March 20, so have patience, and let the notes be released, and see what your status is in there.

(I actually read the forum and saw similar questions but in those cases people were claiming points for their jobs)

I have some concerns.

I applied paper based PR (with Master's PNP) in August 2017 and AOR was Sep 15, 2017

I have 1 year experience in a start-up IT company from home country and now I know that half of the staff changed including HR manager.
Should I give them a call for a heads Up that CIC may call them ? Coz if they handle CIC call carelessly that might affect my PR

Also, when I applied for study permit I did not mention that work experience due to conflicts with the boss at that time but later he agreed to give me the experience letter. Can this cause any issues as I have stated that experience in my PR application but not in Study Visa Application back then?

I have not got any Medical request yet.

Can this cause misrepresentation? If yes, can I do something before it happens?

There will definitely be concerns, no doubt about it. Also your past applications will be opened and evaluated. If you can avoid the LIMA, that would be ideal, if not, then you will have to make sure that you address all concerns in the LoE and cover all bases before filing your application.

But as long as there is nothing illegal and I met the requirements, there should not be concern. Why a private entity wants to employ a specific person is their prerogative, and the intension can not be questioned based only on this. Was it right?? did I miss something?

If you have done that, then raise a CSE and explain that you will be unable to provide the medicals for your ex as you are divorced and give a reference of the divorce documents.

Criminality is simply based on the PCCs submitted. It is usually passed along after R10 is the passed if the documents are complete. After a new documents is uploaded, it takes 1-3 weeks for it to be added to the file and another few weeks to process it and reflect it.
