If you informed them already it should be fine. However, even if they do set a test date while you are away, just keep checking the ECAS, and if they have set a test date, message them again using the web form and they will reschedule it.

I got mine rescheduled after receiving the test date. Make sure you have your travel tickets etc for proof.

I can't share anything about the exam. I can only say it is not difficult if you read the guide a couple of times and did a lot of practice tests online. Of course things may change when the new guide is finalized. But other than that, your id is checked a number of times and the instructions about the test are explained very clearly by the people managing the test in both languages. Most of us finished early. But everyone remained seated until the end of the test. Then they started calling the names for the interview. During the interview your ids and passport stamps are checked. Any questions will depend on your case. If everything is in order, you should expect the oath ceremony invite in 2-4 months. Again, every case is different.

A follow-up. I don't check eCAS for just a few days and then today I check after the test and there is a FP request that was sent on March 9! There was no mentioning of this during the interview. Anyway, will try to send it as soon as possible.

From what I see in the tracking sheet, Montreal Office is a super star! They used to be the slowest and the most bureaucratic.....but look how they perform now!

Does Victoria have an IRCC office that conducts tests ?
