Sponsoring Step-son

Does anyone know if I can sponsor my step-son who is 26 year old. He is single and doesn't have enough points for express entry so I wanted to sponsor him instead. I am a PR visa holder at Canada.

Assuming you have a spouse, it's not possible to sponsor him since he's over the age of dependent (22).

The only option is for him to gain necessary education/work experience to qualify to immigrate independently.
