I went to local MP (member of parliament) today and asked them to request any information regarding my file , explained to them that I'm at 19 month almost and the background still in process. Just curious what they can do because I've heard sometimes it might affect processing time. I'm august 15 2016 applicant

Security screening happens for everyone. They check is if ur name match with any international criminals or if u hav any links with anyon. Stuff like that. That is done for everyone.

Does your BG say "In progress/process"? Just wondering as mine has changed from "Not Applicable" to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" on Friday. No DM and PPR yet. I'm Sep 22, 2016 applicant. Thanks.

The same change as mine! But mine was changed on Feb 20!
I hope you get ppr soon. Please share your timeline when you get ppr

The send me a request to redo it on Feb 16th because I did upfront and it has expired.
