Thanks, in the GCMS notes that I got in August, it says Security: Not Started - does that mean I am not under SS? If so, I wonder why it took so long!

Hi everyone,

I am under SS since May 2017, and CSIS has already confirmed that they were assigned my file and completed it. I asked my MP office to follow up with CBSA since they would not disclose info to me, and today I heard back from the MP. CBSA says that they have no open file on me at all and that the security stuff is likely going on at IRCC in Ottawa.

What do you think about this? Shouldn't all SS cases go to CBSA? Now I have no idea why my file is stuck and what I can do about it.

Congrats, is there any reason why your background check took 20 months? Is it really random? Cases like yours get me worried... Congrats also on being this patient, I have been waiting a year and I'm already considering jumping off a cliff

they sent you PPR within a week after you submitted your new medicals? my medical is also expired so i believe when i will get a medical redo request that means they are ready to take a decision on my application?
