I also got one time refusal. Already applied for gcms notes. But till now I didn’t receive those.
Can u tell me the main reason behind your refusal. I mean what was stated in GCMS notes

The major reason was TIES to home country and lack of documentation. there was no relevancy between the documents and the visa category. it was the document list for the visitor visa for my spouse however it was over loaded. therefore i took only core documents for the SOWP. as you can see i reduced the numbers of proofs but made them specific.

1. All the documents were Notary attested

1) Study permit
2) Front and Back pics of the passport
3) Student visa copy
4) Invitation letter
5) Resident proof
6) No objection letter from the landlord
7) Lease agreement
8) Bank statement
9) Income tax of 2016
10) Job letter from Employer
11) Transcript of Grades
12) Notice of enrolment

2. My spouse Documents.

1) Marriage Certificate
2) Property evaluation (Residential property, and all other)
3) Passport copies of front and back
4) Certified copies of mhigher education, degree
5) Bank statement of father
6) Father’s GPF certified
7) Annual income proof of father
8) Self support Affidavit (private job, like etc.)
9) Father support Affidavit (Income of father, bank statement)
10) Wedding Pictures
11) ID proofs of all family members.

I had 2 SOWP refusal now, both in 2017. After that I applied for my GCMS Notes in December 2017 , now I am waiting for my GCMS Notes.
After I receive my GCMS Notes I am planning to apply again . I would like to know few details which will possibly help me.

My doubts are as follows:

Canada :-

1) Passport first page, last page, Visa page - No need of the travelling stamps like Immigration Exit & Entry Stamps?
2) Saving account statement - How much fund balance we need to show from the Canadian Bank Account? (Sponsor Bank Account)


India:-

1) Passport first page and last page - No need of the travelling stamps like Immigration Exit & Entry Stamps? (Because I am staying in UAE, I am an Indian Citizen, every year I travel to India for my vacation)
2) Pan Card copy - Why we need to submit our Pan Card Copy?
3) Account Statement (Last 3 Months) - How much fund balance we need to show from our Indian Bank Account? (Applicant Bank Account)
4) Marriage Photographs - Usually how many photographs we have to show?

1. You have to scan all the visa pages along with stamps. it is highly mandatory to scan them because they would come to know how many countries you have been to.
2. i showed 10,000 dollars in my account to support my spouse and myself, which means have sufficient funds to survive in Canada if my spouse doesn't get job.
3 As i mentioned above you need to scan all the visa and stamps page, and if you are applying work-permit for yourself or somebody else they would need Police clearance from all the countries where you have worked.
4 PAN card id not necessary if you spouse does the Income tax return then it is applicable and you have to show your income tax returns. otherwise it is optional.
5.the applicant bank balance must be 5lakhs approx. as i showed ( near about 10,000) .
6 20 to 25 pictures are enough to qualify the proof of relationship.
thats what i did, sometimes it varies from one applicant to another.

What was the processing time at the time u applied.
And what about your education certificate. Is it mandatory or not.

it was 12 weeks when i applied. yes it is mandatory they need your Transcript.

where did u send your passport??
i might get some idea in which vfs they are doing fast..as i applied my husband’s sowp from india on 22 december

I applied SOWP on 27th January 2018 online and on 28th,January 2018 i got an application number. Unfortunately, my husband got refusal first for SWOP in September 2016 and Second time as a visitor on 2 January 2017, that time i was a student. Currently i have an PG open work permit and have NOC-B job in same field of study. Waiting for response from CIC.

Let me tell you guys more about my situation. My PR application is under process, and I added my wife and son on my PR application. Currently work permit holder. Wanted to bring my wife and son to Canada before having PR decision made.

Applied for SWOP for my wife on Oct 26, 2017. she has Thailand passport. I got an message from CIC recently. They asked us to upload the police certificate for my wife. Is it good sign to get approval? or not.

My wife is also going to apply for SOWP. My case is same as you. I currently hold work permit and have applied to paper based PR (Provincial nominee) and expected to get PR in Dec 2018.
