I think the theories around the CIC draw date and score prediction attempts were more interesting than the IELTS theories. I don't intend to offend anyone or start a flame war. Just that selling advice on applying for reval seems like a coin toss at best (best not get someone's hopes).

Sure. I believe this is a Post-Graduate Diploma and will be counted as part of your education. I have a Diploma from the UK and have got ECA done and have been granted points for it.
But the this duration is 8mths. Although it will be done in Canada.

My English is not my mother tongue either. In the end, IELTS is a for profit organization, and they need to make money (as much as they can).
Also, for CIC side, IMO there are no correlation between a good immigrant vs their English ability.
I'm a native English speaker, I have only ever spoken English, I'm a qualified teachers specialised in English, and I have two TEFL qualifications and I got 6.5 in reading too. It was also my first attempt.
However my husband who wrote the same time as me and he got 8.5 for reading.
It does seem a bit weird though that so many people have the same issue though.

Regarding your first query about IELTS expiry at the time of ITA, there's another work around but terms and conditions apply:
IRCC website says that if there's a change in your profile after you receive an ITA you have to make sure that the change is reflected in your APR but first you need to recalculate your CRS score. If that negatively impact your CRS score i.e. your new CRS falls below the lowest CRS of that draw in which you were granted the ITA then you should reject your ITA and go back to the pool nd update your EE profile. (Instructions from EE Ministerial Instructions)
But, like in your case, if you manage to score the same in IELTS as your previous score, then obviously your CRS remains the same and you can go ahead with submitting your APR but you must make sure that you mention the changes since after ITA we cannot update our profile.

Refer this page, if still have doubts: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/invitation-apply.html
Thank you for your response.

English is not my first language and I scored 9 twice. The key here is time management, you absolutely should not read everything. If you try to read each sentence in each task, you will score poorly. Learn how to extract information efficiently, learn how questions are structured in each task (some follow text order, some do not), learn different question types, and what is also super important is paraphrasing. Reading is the most tricky part as your non-language related skills are way more important than in the remaining three parts. Good luck!

written IELTS twice - once in 2009, and now in 2018. Once academic, once GW. Almost same scores both times. Conspiracy much? Your ability is being tested, that's it.

I get the whole profit-making theory that some are postulating and let's humour the machination mongers for a bit - My question is why R or L? Why not S or R? Easy peasy , not to mention revaluation of results nets them more as word will be out that S and W are the sections where scores are generally changed.

Did you write IELTS for the first time?

By default the IELTS system marks you a 6.5 in any one of the modules, if you had chosen 'Immigration' while applying.
Please substantiate your statement with valid proofs or amend your starment.
Not a grain of truth in what you wrote.
Confirm before you post any thing.

I can say this is incorrect. I wrote IELTS for the first time and I did mention it was for Immigration. My scores were 9 Reading, 8.5 Listening, 8 Speaking and 8 Writing. So this is not a correct statement

Friends, please consider this possible-scenario.

I have got an ITA and launched my PR application. However, after launching the application, I get an offer for a postdoctoral research in a university in Canada ( I think postdoctoral research is a non-LMIA job, but I am not sure). Does it affect my PR application if I accept the postdoctoral research position and apply for a work permit while my PR application is still active?

No, that's fine, you can have both Work Permit and PR applications at the same time. Good Luck!

If it is something they do they wouldn't do it to everyone because that would be too obvious, obviously.

It is just a conspiracy theory and yes maybe well all just suck at reading comprehension but I can guarantee you that I feel 100% about rewriting next week now that there is a possibility that I'm not a dumb English teacher and that the system has just screwed me.

So yes, no one has proof but this is definitely not false hope or misguidance in anyway it is just an observance of a large group of people

Definitely not true! @Gourav147 don't be misled. Both me and my husband have clb 9+ in all 4 and we put immigration.

Which Diploma do you have? is it by chance BTEC Level 3? I have a BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering but I am afraid that I will get a diploma equivalency.
