What's up at CPC Ottawa?

Silly question, probably deserving of a basic answer. But I'm nervous. Outland US (NY), wife's in Canada. Waiting on my COPR to be sent back to me. Sent it on Jan 2, delivered Jan 3. Application approved in GCKey a few days ago. (Does that mean anything? My wife says it's automated, doesn't mean anything as far as the COPR Processing goes.)
No tracker yet. I have a job offer I've accepted in Toronto, a transfer through the company I've been working with for years. Start date on the offer is Feb 12. Is Ottawa horribly backlogged? Company knows I'm at the mercy of CIC at the moment so if I have to tell them I won't make it by then I'll do it. But I need hope!

It's taking them about 2-3 weeks to send out the COPR once your docs arrive there.
My account updated yesterday to show approved, and my docs were received on the 5th - I am anticipating they will likely be mailing my (and your) COPR early this week.

It's taking them about 2-3 weeks to send out the COPR once your docs arrive there.
My account updated yesterday to show approved, and my docs were received on the 5th - I am anticipating they will likely be mailing my (and your) COPR early this week.

You have to send them a prepaid envelope to mail back your COPR in. If you write down the tracking info you can check to see when it’s coming back to you

Though for us it wasn't real until it was it was delivered! Ours got stuck in US Customs on Friday Dec 22 and wasn't released until Dec 28 because something about missing a commercial invoice. Luckily we were able to call FedEx and they relayed the required information to get the package going again. We were half afraid it was going to be refused and sent back to Ottawa. lol

My wife informed me that my name and DOB needed to be on the pictures. They were not. Would CIC activate the tracker and use the package I sent them to send back a denial over something like that?

It depends. They may send the COPR but when you land and CIC starts processing the PR card, they will reject the photos and say they need new pictures.... or... they'll ask for new pictures before they send COPR. I'm not sure. The pictures are for your PR card

Ah that’s awful! Mine is coming within Canada so hopefully I’ll just get it without issue, knock on wood lol
