How long does this usually take? And after receiving our passports back with the PR status we still need a document to re-enter Canada? I was under th impression that we can enter with the PR stamp on our passports!

Guys just a question. I have never seen my BG in process even before medicals. September 8th applicant and Medicals passed December 1st 2017. Any words ? Please let me know. Appreciate it !
Oh boy, have you been checking your CIC online account all along? if so, that's very weird, normally after you got your AOR, the status of BG will be changed into IP, then changed into N/A after normally 3-6 months. Why don't you order a GCMS note to see if the background check has been done. Hope it helps.
I called them last week too. They told everything appears to be in order and we have to wait !
If they said so, then I think it should be fine. Probably just the officer on your case didn't change the status accordingly.
Or mmay be you dint follow your account right after aor . Because it was ony 20- 25 days process for criminality . It was back in january 2017
Sept Applicant 2016, still BG N/A , 17 months running...CIC should Change our BG to BGIP else i don't think we will get DM Or PPR within 18 month .

I dont think u need to worry .you just passes 16 months . I just hit 17 months today nthing changed yet .
Thanks for your reply. Do we usually get an update when the BG status changes? I got PCC requests in Jan 2017 and they even sent an acknowledgement that they received them on time.
Hi, guys, I just talked to CIC, the agent told me that they are working on my files, and no new request for me at the moment. He said the background check is also included. However, my BG is still NA on my CIC account.
