So I just found out that the eligibility of my application has passed and my application is still undergoing security checks for the countries I have resided in. I have only lived in India my whole life and traveled to Maldives for 2 weeks. I am assuming they wont be doing a security check for Maldives since I didn't stay there for 6 months or more. My application went into Security check on December 19th so hopefully it wont take much more time! FINGERS CROSSED.

Congrats, if ur eligibility passed then you will get for sure.

Some people get their visa in 1 day 5 days. There's no way to really know. Mine was refused in 17 days the first time. Now it's 55 days and in bc check lol

I had same case, mine was refused in 20 days for the first time and now its 43 days still in process, but not even in background check. hopefully they start bg soon and I get positive result.

Yes it seems like a light at the end of the tunnel now!

I think your application will have a decision soon because it's been awhile and is not in background check.

How do you know your eligibility has passed?

And what was the reason? I guess paper applications through VFS are faster.

No, there is no application that is faster than the other. I applied online for both,my first application was decided in 17 days and now its been more than 60 days.

I was refused for basic reasons. It was an unjust refusal.. I should have gotten the visa the first time as my application was strong. All lawyers that saw my application after refused were shocked. They refused because I am young and from India, some laywer's say no one even looked at my application they just saw my profile and refused.

I disagree with lawyers statement.
There must be some reason of Refusal in application.

At first when the first lawyer said that I thought the same. However, the reasons for refusal didn't make sense. That's why I called and met so many other lawyers and they all said the same thing. I even emailed many lawyers in Canada with my file and they agreed that it was a big mistake.

I have always learnt one thing from my experience that most of the lawyers are liars. ;)
Sorry if any lawyer read this.
