Hi All

Glad to hear and congratulations to all the applicants for receiving their PPR.

My wife is April 7 applicant, AOR 2 - Aug 1

Background Check has not yet started. It's been more than 9 months now

I spoke to My Representative and he suggested to wait.

Please advise.

From what I see, it looks like they gave PPR to April applicants who had their files transferred to NDVO in June. I may be wrong! Since your AOR 2 was in August, your representative is right. You must wait a little longer!

NDVO response to my email on application status

Thank you for choosing Canada! We know this is a very exciting time in planning an important change in your life.

We have received your application for permanent residence. We expect to begin working on your application within the next two months. We will need time to review and assess your file. We should be ready to communicate with you again by May or June 2018. We understand that the waiting period can be difficult but please rest assured that we have not forgotten about you.

We appreciate the time you have taken to prepare your application.

Thanks for your reply zara12. I will hope for some news soon, the way things are moving.

Hi all,

A couple of quick questions ...will be really grateful if someone can help.

Do applicants from India need to submit any original documents?

And

Does the principal applicant need to submit his / her parents birth certificates and matriculation or college degree copies?

This is a bit urgent and if some one can clarify that’ll be great.

Thanks
No need of any original certificates other than a letter from bank or some other documents to prove that you are staying together(if needed).Only true copies are required to file the application. As far as the birth certificate (if not available)is concerned you (applicable to Indians) may produce Secondary School leaving certificate instead.Make sure DOB is same in all documents.Once you send it is almost impossible to correct it.If they request photos of marriage and related events ,then it is better to send photos.(it is in the check list)

You should be getting DM soon. NDVO works, based on the application received date, not AOR2 as far as we have seen in the forum. All the best.

Hello Everyone,
I am new here. I have first question for all you guys
From where I can apply my spouse application from Canada or from India ?
Right now , I am living in india and going back to canada on 5th of Feb.

I have received a similar mail from NDVO. The mail is very demotivating but since it is a computer generated mail and the same has been sent to many people, i hope that the timelines mentioned are not actual. BTW did u request for information from ndvo before?
Yeah i hope so. No i haven't asked for information from NDVO
