Who told you that? Not sure where you got that infornation from. Eligibility is one of the first things that the officers pass, after which they start your criminal and security checks. My wifes eligibility was passed in October.

My husbands criminality and medicals passed, but eligibility is recommend passed. From where you got the eligibility info may I ask?
Also, I am not talking about sponsor eligibility, that passed long back.

Thanks

I applied through mail. The first time I had applied was online which was refused - but not because I applied online. I'v read other posts where people applied online and were approved of the TRV. The second time around, I applied through an agent who put our whole application together with the cover letter and all the other documents. I didn't show any itenerary or that I booked any tickets. The cover letter did mention that our PR application was in process and that my wife was visiting me for the purpose of my birthday and our first Anniversary and that her visit would not jeopardize our PR application.
for how long you applied for visitor visa? I mean how much time you indicated that your spouse will stay in Canada with you? did you submit any documents to prove that your spouse will go back to India after the intended visit? I also applied for visitor visa for my spouse before 10 days and i indicated that she will stay with me for 48 days. I also pointed out that she is visiting for me for celebrating her birthday and for attending some other functions here in Canada.

Then next step for you is that they will pass your eligibility. And this will happen before they request for your passport. They have to pass your eligibility in order for to finalize a decision - "Decision Made" which comes before the PPR

We had indicated that she will stay here for a month. And no, we did not submit any documents to prove she will go back. Officers are smart enough to understand that we have a PR application in process simultaneously

May 19th Applicant. Still my additional docs status in GCkey showing "being reviewed". Most of the people whom I talked to said their additional docs status changed to "additional docs not required". Any May applicants with same situation ?
