yeah..I'm curious to know as well

and my passport has been delivered to CPC Ottawa Dec. 15 but still no updates! I called CIC and they said the passport has been stamped already and they even told me that expiry date is May but up to now they have not mailed it

Nope. It is a paper-based document with our photo attached to it.

I'd like to add that our passports got stuck at the customs clearance in FedEx hub in Memphis, TN (I sent passports from US) as the sender (in this case CIC) didn't mention any description about the package and FedEx wouldn't clear the package until they knew whether it was an item of economic value or just documents.

In case similar issue happens to any one else, DO NOT PANIC. Call FedEx and tell them it's a signed agreement document and carries no economic value. And mention that you've paid for the return envelope. They'll process immediately.

By ‘fast’ I meant the change from passport delivered to approved. Not the time taken to have the passport delivered. I’ve sent mine via fedex overnight to the same center. Got delivered the next day

I know. From passport delivered to application approved, is what I meant "fast". Passport delivered by courier is usually faster than PO box in regards to approval time, this is my observation. Courier takes 24 hours, Canada Post takes 48 hours days. There isn't much difference in terms of delivery time.

we have the same delivery date, still waiting too!
I think our passports were in queue for printing last week (I called last week)
since you called today and it already stamped, hope it gonna update soon !!
