Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Does anyone know how long review of eligibility takes ? We’ve done medical and passed. Gave in all documents requested but eligibility hasn’t been confirmed yet ? Is that odd or is that the normal process ?

It never got updated for me. Dont follow that to the core. Its pretty vague. they requested my passport already but still I havent got this message.

What will be next?

next - the file will be sent to colombo VO for further processing. after that you will have to submit the schedule A & PCC when they request .. then you have to wait for a couple of months & you will get the Medical request .. after that very soon you will get invitation for pre- arrival services .. again you have to wait.. usually within the time range of 8-12 months within that time period they might request for the passport to be stamped.

Its surprising that I applied in March 2017 and I got the passport request 2nd January 2018 and still I haven't got the “We are pleased to inform that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor” message OR update such as in GC web. I think this process is strangely varies among people to people. I stopped believing the GC web updates

pratt this is quite normal .. usually it is sent to the sponsor .. not the applicant .. in your case your the applicant and your wife is the sponsor.. so she would have definitely got an email as such

yes this is correct .. the person who is sponsoring from canada will receive this email saying they are eligible to sponsor
