So you're telling me it's more about the job responsibilities than the job title. I know most logistics coordinator responsibilities are quiet similar so i thought that maybe someone applied for their PR having gain experience as a Logistics CoordinatorGuess you are assuming everyone here knows what job responsibilities a logistics coordinator has ? You need to share what the job role/responsibilties are for anyone to realistically comment
Are you fishing in your various posts for jobs that might gain you PR, stock trader, tax specialist and now logistics
I went on the CIC website to find the Noc for Logistics Coordinator but came up with Transportation Coordinator.Guess you are assuming everyone here knows what job responsibilities a logistics coordinator has ? Yes, duties/responsibilities is the main thing IRCC looks at to determine the NOC code (job title is a starting point, but employers can give you any job title they want, it does not have to correspond to the NOC system).
The OTHER thing they look at is the lead statement (The first paragraph at the top of the NOC description). Quite often you can distinguish between NOC codes with similar duties by reading the lead statement - some industries or sectors may have their own NOCs...
Your challenge will be distinguishing between NOC 1526 (Level C, not eligible) and 1215 (Skill Level B, eligible). NOC 1215 is a supervisory NOC, so if that fits, you will have to ensure your duties include supervising other staff. The Responsibilities would be :
- Dispatching & Quote opportunities including Flat Bed, Over Dimensional Loads, Drayage, Port to Door, and Specialized equipment
- Create records of metrics on Shipping, Receiving and Returns with regards of seasons and selling behaviors
- Continually source new carriers for portfolio, developing the same relationships and understandings
- Ensuring that the synergies and communication between sales, dispatch and pricing are harmonious and working well.
- Negotiate, dispatch and assign carriers to customers’ shipments to support the company
- Work closely with senior management to define strategic direction and objections
- Proactively communicate pertinent shipment details to/from motor carriers, and our internal team
- Safety is priority, must be able to identify any safety hazards and report
- Working as a team in a positive manner to maximize opportunities
- Support any other initiatives or projects as requested
Thank you jesYour challenge will be distinguishing between NOC 1526 (Level C, not eligible) and 1215 (Skill Level B, eligible). NOC 1215 is a supervisory NOC, so if that fits, you will have to ensure your duties include supervising other staff.
