hi everyone... pa tanong lang po

I sponsored my wife, for PR and her application is in the final stages waiting for PPR.

We are now preparing to submit the application to sponsor our kids, Age 3 and 7 by the time the application is submitted, to follow and move to Canada once my wife arrives in Canada. we already declared them as non accompanying dependants on my wifes app.

The children are from a previous relationship. The biological father has had minimal contact with the kids who are currently in my wifes custody.

Since the children are in her custody, would we still need to have the biological father complete the consent form to submit the sponsorship application for the kids? What documents can we provide instead of the consent form so the kids can be sponsored and move to Canada?

Based on the discussions here, you need to have the consent form. Halos similar case kami ng wife mo. Pero kasama mga bata sa application ko. However, my children's father signed the form. Thank goodness!!! Now, without that kailangan niyo pa ng court order saying that your wife has sole custody of her kids. It's a long arduous process, basing on our justice system. Best consult with dswd and PAO or if you have budget for a lawyer with expertise in family law.

Hindi po talaga kase parepareho ang nangyayari. Nasa naghahandle po ng case, feeling ko, kaya di nauupdate minsan. In terms of straightforward case, hindi po siguro kami straightforward kase may mga anak ako na di anak ng asawa/sponsor ko.

We will send you a message if we need more information." Ito na po ba yung BGCIP na tinatawag? (Received pre-arrival letter last Dec.20)
