I have a question, if my husband has a PR card can he use that to go to the States, or does he still need a visa?

still has to get USA visa. its much easier to obtain with PR only takes a few days.

Thanks for the reply and answers everyone....Had a long talk with hubbs...he's not ready to throw in the towel yet lolol...but the cold is getting to him and he misses his children....although he did say he wanted to go back he said he wouldn't do to me and his step children...He starts work Monday with his cousin that will help him to get out the house cause he feels stuck to...You in Jamaica he would just get up and go but here not so much as yet...Thanks for the support guys.

@ludabrown i emailed KVO yesterday for the third time asking them to confirm if they received communication from the DNA company and asking if they can confirm a date for sample collection as we are planning travel dates for xmas.
I received an email this morning from them and my cic was updated with an appointment for January 15th!

@ludabrown i emailed KVO yesterday for the third time asking them to confirm if they received communication from the DNA company and asking if they can confirm a date for sample collection as we are planning travel dates for xmas.
I received an email this morning from them and my cic was updated with an appointment for January 15th!

I wish they would say they are planning to give back passports before the end of December for ppl waiting. So at least you can plan for airline tickets. When did you submit passport again?

He did his interview November 15 and they took his passport same time then when they called him to send the dhl he sent it the 30th

I'm beyond frustrated now too, I sent mine on the 29th of Nov and they received it Dec 1st. I am yet to hear anything from them, my tracking number isn't activated.

With mine. He sent it the 30th kvo received it the 1st. Ours got updated the 11th but nothing else since

My husband mail them the empty envelope and paid the 2 ways because they kept his passport since the 15th of November.

The 15 he did his interview they didn’t ask him anything she just told him everything is good he’s approved but they are going to keep the passport until January because they are not issuing any more visa. On the 29 they called him saying plans changed they are trying to issue out the visas before Christmas. So he went to dhl the 30th and they received it the 1st.
They even called him last week asking him for his name and date of birth because they said they wanted to confirm. Still nothing. I don’t get it , it’s actually starting to feel stressed out.

what about on the spot visa what is the procedure for that? are still doing that

On a side note this seems to be so confusing. So my husband got a letter to summit passport and any other supporting documents and something else do not remember right now. These documents where to be submitted by Jan 22 and his interview is in Feb. I found it strange cause the letter said bring these documents to the interview which was scheduled for Feb. So you can imagine my confusion but I said let us send in the documents as requested in the letter, but one thing said email KVO to confirm. Good thing I did that the response I got back was you need to have the passport for the interview. I was like wth, you do now your letter is quite misleading and confusing. With the KVO it seems as if there is no consistency and you just have to play it by ear. I wish everyone success. God knows we all have mastered patience.
