No dear all ECAs do not require original documents. I am surprised to know that they all are working in Canada for the same purpose but requirements are totally different for every ECA company and moreover evaluations for same documents also differ between them. If WES evaluate a candidate as Graduate same candidate evaluated by other company as Masters.

CES do not require any original document or even any document directly from any institution. They also do not require SS and HSC attested copies, just simple copies will serve the requirement.

"Please refer to additional notes below regarding documents acceptable by CES:

HEC (Higher Education Commission) attested photocopies of the Degree Certificate and Mark Sheet/Result Card sent directly to CES by the HEC. (HEC can only attest documents for university-level degrees, e.g. Bachelor, Master, Ph.D.)

OR

Applicants may request that HEC place the attested copies in an official signed and sealed envelope. These copies can be in black & white or colour. The applicant can then forward this sealed envelope to CES with their application, along with their own copies, a signed application form, and payment.CES must be able to confirm the attestation on the HEC website."

Please help me on this.
I have heard from plethora pf sources that while going for evaluation for masters, one should opt for CES or ICAS rather than WES because WES will recognise your masters as a bachelors only?
Please suggest me.
I hope you would be helpful to me.
Thanking you in advance !

hello

does it matter where you did your ECA? i am from Ontario and was wondering if i could use IQAS which is in Alberta as they have shorter processing times than CES here in Toronto.

thank you to anyone who would answer. :)

As long as it is one of the organizations approved by CIC for credential evaluation or professional bodies if applicable, then you're good to go

WES might not sometimes accept Masters even. Thus i opted for IQAS, although process is still ongoing. One thing i can tell you about WES though is its, very efficient, you can check the progress in an online portal, and ur ECA is done quite fast. IQAS could take 2-3 months minimum. And there is no way to track the status of your application.

Hi All,

I am going to begin ECA process. In my case university has issued an MBA degree and a document which states confirmation of degree, passing date, list of all courses attended and their credit hours (without marks/grades). Separate mark sheet is issued by an affiliated college who had conduct all the exams on behalf of the university.

My question is as ECA agencies only accepts documents issued by university only how do i proceed with evaluation? Can i proceed only based on the documents issued by university with no grades/marks?

It is true that education credential evaluation agencies in Canada don’t recognize or evaluate distance courses done at foreign institutions. But I would still suggest you to do your own research on it just to be sure.

Brother, I couldn't find anything in CES website relating to HEC(as you mentioned above) , only they want "Official Academic Records" from institution. May be you are mixing it with other assessing body ?
If you already got assessment from CES , please share the procedure.
I am from Lahore, Pakistan.

As to my knowledge marks doesn't count at all as it is not an academic evaluation; once i made an inquiry to BCIT-ICES about a similar case, in my case there were transfered credits that shows no marks (thats because i moved to another university then ) and they said marks is not a criteria of the evaluation at all,
what i sugest, you send this inquiry directly by e-mail to WES and BCIT and see what they will respond, though your university should be accridited either way. Best

Wow, it's the first time I am hearing that. My experience with WES was decent, plus they gave a Masters equivalency for my Masters degree and not Bachelors. I am wondering in what cases they change the equivalency
