Mr.Abhi 098,
Hi,One question is for you.We are in Canada and if PPR comes during our Canada stay(visitor visa)and we submit passport to Ottawa and passport come back after stamping then can we go back to India and come back after 6 months?.
So here is the procedure: Ottawa is taking about a month or less to return passports, and once you get your passport back, you will receive COPR document with it. That document has to be signed by immigration/CBSA officer to finish landing protocols. While being in Canada, you have three choices to do that:
1) telephone landing: new project recently opened to do it over phone and mailing. Only certain people are chosen and being emailed or called.
2) you can do the flagpolling at US/Canada border through car. It's probably the fastest among others, though you get administrative refusal from US official if you don't have US visa. It is just part of the protocol. People often do this.
3) or you can call the CIC call agent to book appointment at regional/local CIC office.

Once COPR is signed, you will get PR card in about 45-60 days. Then and only, it is recommended to leave Canada for travel.

You can stay in India for 6 months after all of this is done, as long as your are meeting the following requirements to keep your PR status active: please read the following link to know how long you have to stay in Canada without losing your PR status: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=727&top=4

Hope it helps :)

As I said, it is recommended to wait for PR card to arrive before you travel. Otherwise, you will have to obtain PRTD document specifically to enter back into Canada without PR. So my recommendation is to wait until you physically get your PR card and then do whatever you would like. A month or two wait is not significant as you compared to how long we all have waited already

Once you get immigrant visa stamped on your passport, other visas most likely will be void and won't work. But that's just my point of view. Entrance into Canada is totally dependent on CBSA offer's discretion. How they interpret is totally dependent on them. Why would you wanna risk it (it's just 1 or 2 more months wait), or else whatever you do in the end is in your hands eventually. Every person on this forum may say differently and have right or wrong opinions. Eventually, nobody knows with 100% certainty about what CBSA or an Immigration officer will do. I hope you're getting my point! Good luck with your future endevours
