i hv received an email requesting my PP
does this mean that I will get the visa for sure.
how many days it takes to get PP back.

Hi,
In most cases OR usually when they ask for passport, it means approval. As if they had to refuse, they are not going to waste your and their time by asking you to send passport and then refuse it.
Secondly, it all depends where you applied from INSIDE Canada or Outside?

I have applied outside Canada.
I heard that usually, they stamp visa valid until the validity of PP

Hi,
Outside Canada is fairly long process as compared inside Canada. It again depends which country you applied from.
At this time of the year here in Canada everything is on a laid back process due to busy/holiday season.
I remember when i applied for my parents from India it took them about a month to process everything and deliver back the Passport.
Yes now, Canada issues TRV Multiple till passport validity.
