Investor immigration to Quebec (applied 2016) waiting for interview

Hello guyz
In case of rejection, in most cases financial intermadiatory has to refund full amount.
I had confirmed it with financial intermediatory lawyer while our meeting in fab 2017 at the time of file submission.
Lawyer told us that as per government guidelines they r not allowed to deduct any money from client.

my doubts are on the total amount refund of CAD 220000 in case of rejection. Pls double check with your agent and confirm to me on this pls

Well she is not any agent. She works for Finxo financials as lawyer consultant. I don’t have any direct contact. And as my case was very complicated so she called me to her office in Montreal to clear any doubts before filing my application. Bcz they work very closely with immigration officer.
And that time me and my friend we cleared our doubts also. And we asked her about 220,000/- whether we will get quarter or half or some deducted amount like fees or any other bank charges.
She clearly said only in case of any fraud or fake documents we may not get anything if application gets rejected with federal government. Other wise we are entitled to get full 220k.
That’s exactly how she replied.

My file was submitted end of feb 2017. So I will be the last one to get any reply.

Most people have chosen finance option, bcz it gives u 25 points in yr file. That’s the reason all of agents force applicants to choose banks. Agents get some commission from banks also. And governement has allotted banks some quota. U have to decide it in the beginning of file submission either submit direct with government or let banks submit it for u. If u choose bank, I dont think u can change it later on without banks approval.

As i have opted for the CAD 220K option, so my case will be taken care by the financial institution (Auray Capital In my case)

hi,
Firstly i congratulate you for having successfully cleared the 1st step towards achieving the CSQ.
i was also asked to supplement additional docs by the quebec govt, which i also did a month ago. I have not received any response from them since then.
i have opted for the 220K option.
iam also very worried (same as you) what if after depositing the amount of 220K upfront , i get rejected in federal processing.
I have tried to talk about this with my agent, but did not get any convincing reply. I tried to ask the question here in the forum too. I was told i could loose substantial amount of the 220K ,if god forbid i get rejected later.
I was told the deduction would happen for various reasons (interest on deposit, fees etc etc)

But my gut feeling says (i can be wrong here) that we tend to loose maybe 40 % max of the amount (all depends when our PR is issued ) right now the processing time (for 80% of the cases) is 43 months . this can go up and down,,,if it goes up we loose more,,,if it goes down we loose less.

I am new to this forum. Iam a PIIP nomine . I got my first CSQ in March 2015, applied to the federal on 27th April, 2015. Got AOR on August 21st 2015. Request for medical April 2016. The irony of this qiip program is that it is very time consuming. Desperation and frustration creeps in . Iam in the same waters and very much behind you . I have my interview in feb 2018

I fully understand your thoughts at the moment . Giving medicals again and again is not a piece of cake

I suggest you to apply for GCMS notes . It will give you an idea , where and at what stage your file is stuck up

Presently post CSQ federal processing time ( for 80% of the cases) is 43 months

You have still not crossed the upper period . I hope and wish your wait ends soon

Ash1969. I appreciate your kind and comforting words. You said your interview for CSQ is 2018 February. Or do you mean 2016?. Well, the renewed CSQ will expire August 9 2018. I hope the whole process will be concluded by then. Thanks for the word of encouragement .

Ash, before I forget, I applied April 2012. Interview in January 2015. CSQ in March 2015. Federal application in April 2015. Long journey indeed.....
