How Much Time It Takes From Passport to Visa Stamped via VFS

Hey Guys/ Gals
My EE timelines are in signature. I recd. the letter to submit passports on 20th Nov'17and I did so @ ND VFS on 21st Nov'17. Still waiting for a reply from them!

sa approval change in a day or 2, i submitted on 20th, expecting to status change today or tomorrow.

Got my passport today .

Timeline

Submitted at vfs jalandhar on 17th nov
18 and 19 nov were weekends
Sent to NDVO on 20th nov ( SMS received)
Processing started on 21 nov ( checked at vfs site)
Cic account showed final decision made/ approved on 27th nov
SMS received on 28th nov that passport has left NDVO
Checked on vfs site that passport has arrived on 29 nov
Picked my passport today

Could you please tell what is the main difference between sending passports via VFS or directly to the Embassy? Could you briefly describe how does the status change in mycic account during the process of visa stamping? Please advise, thank you

you cannot send passport directly, VFS is the only way, or else Ottawa if you are inside Canada.

A Final decision has been made
Your Application has been approved


And u get a email saying u have an update in ur account

The PPR email said only VFS is the way to submit passport

same for me .. submitted the passports at VFS Pune on 21st .. the lady at the counter told it would reach NDVO by 22nd .. but no update after that .. the tracking number they provided does not provide much info. just says it is being processed at VO..

I only know about India and Canada, whereas, you can choose any of the 1st 2 methods if you are not in Canada. Personally i would suggest to go in person to VAC.

Nopes, submitted on 21st @VFS Delhi. No update. I guess the status shall be updated by Tuesday

I called up VFS a few minutes ago, they said we can write an email to the high commission but i guess it would take them very long to reply.
I am not eager to get it back, but the thing is that i have to travel on 8th

I have also submitted it through VFS dubai on 13th nov and it was delivered in Abu Dhabi on 14th nov but there has been no update yet. Can anyone please tell me why is it taking so long?
