I know that they will possibly ask at a later stage, was just wondering if anyone had a situation like that and if they extend medical if it is close enough to finalization of the process.

Yes, they will extend the medical, depending on processing times as you said. Impossible to know as it's up to the discretion of the officer.

i know that we sent ours upfront and they were set to expire on dec 12, however they have been extended. you can always check your notes as well (takes 30 days to get roughly) and see when they are valid until. i have heard that they extend when they are getting close to finalizing application and they dont and require a new one if an interview is required or if they need more time. best best is to order your notes and see what they have to say
