Do I have to enclose Tax assessment proof for 3 years when I send the application? Document checklist does not say so
If you agreed to provide CIC your consent to contact CRA (in the application form) that alone should suffice.

Ques 10 a) Write all your addresses inside and outside of Canada you used during your eligibility period, including the postal codes, starting with your current home address. If you were residing, employed or attending school outside Canada, you must list all of your foreign addresses, including the postal codes or ZIP codes.

Am I required to give details for 5 years say from Nov 2012 to Nov 2017. Even if I was no where connected to Canada?
The form says "during your eligibility period" ...

Is is okay while using physical presence calculator, the number of days Absences from Canada comes to be zero (during the eligibility period).
Did this happen with anyone? Just wanted to confirm

for people who have not left the country since becoming PR (other than day trips to US) - the Absence from Canada comes to Zero. For example, for me it is Zero.

Thank you very much for the reply. I want to re-confirm with few more details....so I came as a visitor to Canada for 3 months then I want back to India for 2 months to get my PR. After I got my PR I never went back to India and I have continuous stay in Canada for 3 years. When I put in dates in the calculator, the absence from Canada comes to be zero.

So I think that is okay and I'm not going wrong any where.... please confirm.

So eligibility period starts 5 years before your application date. So in this case you need to provide details when you were outside of Canada before you got your PR. I know it does not make any sense but better to provide the details rather than not. Its not going to harm as they will anyway know that you never went back after you got your PR.

I think you are right, even if you provide details when you were outside before your got your PR, absence from Canada still shows zero. Si i think we are good,

Okay I understand but if I give all the details for last 5 years as said. I’m getting stuck on a question while putting dates in physical presence calculator:

Did you leave Canada in last 5 years. Please list all your absences outside Canada between 2012 to 2017.

I came to Canada in 2014 for the first time and if I fill in dates for 2012, I went to Dubai and 2013 I went to Greece, the calculator asks:

Date you left Canada

Date you returned to Canada

I never left or entered Canada in 2012-2013. So am I supposed to skip those travel dates in my calculator?

Here is my understanding... you can enter upto 5 years before the application date. Some of us came in 2014 and did not leave Canada for the last 3 years so you can enter the dates in the Absense calculator since you first came to Canada (as a temp resident) left Canada to become a PR and came back and settled here. Hence 2012 and 2013 trips are irrelevant for the Absence calculator.

Having said that you have to keep in mind the list of places you stayed more than 183 days in the last 4 years to get a police certificate.

For travel dates, when I mention them with no gaps they are:
28 Aug departure from Canada
29 Aug layover London airport
30 Aug arrival in India

Is it okay to write on the form that I was at London airport on 29 or what else can I mention for these dates. I'm not sure about 29. How to put that on form.
