Tourist visa rejection seeking justice

OK I'm not seeking justice here cos it's nowhere to be find nowadays. Maybe I just need to rant, or maybe I just wanna share experience.

I came to this forum before the application and read scary stuff, so I made sure all my documents were prepared well and complete. Nevertheless it got rejected, with reason being travel purpose unclear (something along that line) and insufficient funding (no assets other than cash I guess).

Background is that I've been working in Cayman for 2 years in a well paid job. I wanted to go to Canada for Xmas/NY time for a week. I'm 30 and single, holding Chinese passport. For financial support I submitted my job letter and bank statements (with decent balance in there). I also submitted flight and airbnb booking and a daily travel plan.

I was furious as I did everything by the book, and I've never had visa rejection before (semi well traveled). If I try to see it from their perspective, I'm single with a lot of cash, no real tie to Cayman, sure potentially I may stay for longer and not leave.

But I can't change my background, which is a reasonable background in my opinion. It's just a tourist visa for * sake, what else do they want me to show them. Shall I get married or get a house now to establish more ties? They can't just simply look out for that sort of things like come on!

I'm so discouraged and don't wanna apply again. Also I don't even know how to improve my documents as I've submitted everything there is. Screw Canada!

Since you said you don't have ties in Cayman, why don't you apply in China?

Mind your language. No wonder HK football fans booed the Chinese national anthem.

I didn't apply in China because I don't currently live there. I'm not gonna go to China just to apply for a Canadian visa.

I can apologize for my language, but it's really nice of you to generalise that and apply to the whole nation isn't it? Do you know how many people swear in the world? Are you gonna call them all Chinese now? Really kind of you VIP member.

The current processes/rules are in place as a result of the visa abuses of previous visitors. Unfortunately you share too many characteristics with those who have abused their visa privileges in the past. So you're paying the price for their actions. I would be angry with them - they're the ones who messed things up for you.

Agree with Scylla. We are facing the same treatment due to others mistake but its ok. Sir life never gets finished with these refusals. I believe this is the right time to try your luck and apply some where else. Enjoy the most and leave these illogical things.
