Hi there!

Will start a thread about getting a TRV. What are the chances of me getting denied if I will not include ITR and payslip? Our payroll AWOL-ed! And our HR had her last day in the office. Good thing I was able to ask for COE beforehand.

Help me pls. Anyone in the same page?

ITR and payslips are documents that prove you earn what you claim to earn. It also establishes your employment ties as a reason to return to the Philippines.

A Certificate of Experience may/may not work in isolation.

Are you paid through bank transfers or checks every month?

Hi Bryanna! Thanks for answering me. Yes. I am being paid through bank transfers. I've included a statement of my salary account in my application but since our Payroll staff awol-ed and not doing her duties, we're not getting a payslip since 2nd payout of August and believe me, it's frustrating.

Although, I am doing side jobs, too. I included also the transactions. Also, do you think staying in my HS bestfriend's cousin is okay? The cousin is living with her girlfriend and they warmely welcomed me to their home. I've been close to their family ever since. But I have a stable job here in the Philippines and no way I'm going to overstay in Canada...

The salary statement will help.

Have they provided an invitation letter + copy of their passport/immigration status? BTW iIt's not mandatory for them to provide their financial documents or employment letters.

You'll need to prove that you can fully pay for your visit + airfare + a detailed day-by-day itinerary of how you intend to spend your holiday.

Apart from your employment, you'll also need to demonstrate (with evidence) other reasons to return home: Property/land ownership + dependent family members + financial investments + previous travel history to visa countries would help

I don't have any property or land to own as I am only 21 years old. I am a writer in a publishing company and also a travel writer for this known airlines here in the PH. But I've been to Southeast Asia countries. I would really want to experience western culture! Hay

I'm also including other job offers here in the Philippines so they would know how booming publishing is in the country

Does your employment allow you to work offline? This means you could work remotely from any part of the world? Or are you required to physically work in an office most days of the week?

But I've been to Southeast Asia countries.
Unfortunately, none of these countries will count as travel history for a Canada TRV.

I would not state this as your purpose of visit

I am required to physically present in our office as I present pitches and report to clients. I will just maximize few of my vacation leave and planning to spend Christmas in Canada. I've always meaning to go to Canada but believe me, there is more to life here in the Philippines.

Dear @baygonandbeer,
I am Filipino too and I just got an approved visa to Canada. I am going to submit my passport to VFS global here in jeddah where I am currently working. To tell you honestly, applying for visitor visa esp canada is very tough. I was denied on my first application too. You need to show u have strong ties in Philippines. I suggest you travel first to countries having visa like Japan or South Korea.

In my case before I re-apply again in Canada, I travelled to Europe in addition to my travels(Singapore, HK, Dubai &Istanbul Turkey)..

Try first to those countries wherein you can get a tourist visa and try your luck in Canada.

Cheers..

Hi @TEOLO29, thanks for answering me. I've actually saved up for this trip and even got a ticket reservation since August. I know it's risky but I am just there for purely tourism. I've been working nonstop since 2nd year college and I think this trip is deserving. I do sidejobs, and I'm not a kind of person who buys for a stuff. I really save to travel.

It's really frustrating.

Hello @baygonandbeer , If you really want to apply then just prepare the below docs the same with what I did. even me i was denied in my first application.

-invitation letter from your friend including his/her citizenship id, drivers license, tax assessment
-your payslip at least 4mos and bank statement (ITR not necessary)
-travel history (scan copies of your passport showing immigration stamps)
-ticket reservation
-Medical Insurance cert(ask your company if they can provide you with this)
-Employment Certificate
-Letter addressed to Canadian Embassy, stating why you will visit Canada

Goodluck.. but if I am in your case I will better try other countries first like Japan/Korea/Europe... Their visas are easy compare to Canada/U.S..

It's not a good idea to buy tickets. In fact, plane tickets will not help to get a TRV approval.

IMHO, your chances of TRV approval are low. I would recommend you do not apply at this point in time. You are very young + no strong ties to the Philippines.

I suggest that you wait for another couple of years before you apply. And in the meanwhile, you should build up travel history to the UK/Schengen countries/Australia instead first

Hi @Bryanna , i totally agree with you. In my case I traveled in some parts of Europe that is why maybe I got approved this time. This is my second time to apply actually. I really do hope I can U.S visa as well.. I was denied in U.S visa on my first application here in Jeddah and now since I have Canadian Visa, I am a lil bit confident for re-applying again for U.S Visa.
