I am from India and currently am on a work permit.Do I need a police certificate and a medical test ready before I file for express entry or later when I get the invitation….

Also what documents are required from previous employer( India) to submit the file(Express entry)

Once you receive an ITA, you need to furnish multiple docs. Some of which are PCC, Medical Report, Reference Letter, POF etc etc. You will be informed in detail regarding what all docs are required from your end once you receive an ITA. There are people who pre-attain the PCC, Medical Reports prior to receiving an ITA, but its all upto the particular individual's choose.

Only a Reference Letter (with the CIC requirements intact) is required to from your previous employer.
