hi,

I have completed both Graduation and Master's degree but WES has given me a report as, my Masters is equivalent to their Bachelor's. But my classmate got a report which says the Masters degree is equivalent to their Master's degree. I dont know why WES has given me a different report...may be I might have made some error while filling the form... whatever it is I am going to resend the documents...and hopefully this time WES gives me a correct report.

My concern now is, when I created my express entry profile, I chose the option '2 certificates out of which 1 is of min 3 years' for the education part. So I entered the pool this way and I am selected too from the pool. Now if WES gives me a right report, will it be a problem when I change the education part that is from '2 certificates' to 'Masters degree' and also change the report number? This will only raise my scores but I have already entered the WES report number and the old details. So can I just update when I get my new report or do I have to inform them about this?

I have not yet submitted the PR application. Still uploading the documents and I have time till January.

If you already have sufficient points to qualify under the draw which got you the ITA, why do you want to change it?
Increasing your points will not give you any advantage but it definitely will delay the processing of your application significantly.

I want to change because of 2 reasons. 1st is that I saw in one of the posts here that claiming 2 certificates when WES report says its equal to Bachelors only, will reduce the point later and CIC agent might reject the application.
2nd is that regulatory body of my profession asks for Master's degree as the eligibility for license to work in Canada. So when CIC agent enquire about it with the regulatory body, they will get to know that I cant get the license to work and they can reject my application.

1- your points won't "decrease" what is your CRS score? did you submit a master's degree with a fake ECA # got a crs point and worry that now your points will decrease? If not why worry especially if you ahve more than 430
2- who says they will reject that? you are free to work whatever you want when you land, not even have to work in your field. Are you referring to the NOC requirements?
Please elaborate so we can get a better idea

Ohh I didnt fake. And I wont. Ok lemme explain.
WES gave me a report saying I have 3year Bachelor's degree for my 4year Bachelor's and for my 2year Masters as 4year Bachelor's. Okay? That makes 2 certificates out of which 1 is more than 3years. Okay?

So I claimed 2 certificates for crs. And now I got a score of 443.

As of now everything is fine. But 2 days back I read in a thread that if WES considers masters as only bachelors, then I cant count as having 2 certificates. Because both certificates points out the same qualification.

And this is when I decided that I will resend the documents to WES. I am damn sure something went wrong. My classmate got a proper report and now she got her visa too. So mine cant be different.

And thats when I got a doubt that will it be a problem to change once I get a new report.. I have not submitted my application but initially while creating the profile I entered the details of the WES report which I have now. If I do, my scores will only improve. Also inorder to get a licence in canada, I need to have Master's degree. So thats the second reason why I wana change education part.

Nah I think it's pointless and you're just delaying your application. You could've gotten ITA by now and proceeded. Did you check that your licensing board in Canada would actually consider the WES report? I think usually you'll just ahve to take a few courses there and get an examination

By the way even if your friend got evaluated as amsters degree it doesn't mean he'll automatically be licensed to work

I got the ITA actually. I hope its called ITA only. Yes, I checked. They ask for credential evaluation...not necessarily by WES. I need to have Master's degree to apply for licence. And I need to appear an exam after registration.

Yeah.. she has to pass the license exam. But first this to register ur name with the regulatory body. Inorder to do that, Masters degree is necessary.

check your board's requirements. you're not the first one. i mean take civil engineers, they may have a masters degree level recognized by wes by they definitely won't be able to work in that field before being certified by canada. so check what are the requirements to work in your field and what you need for accreditation. See if they even mention wes. Or wait for the final report. I doubt that the architecture board is dependent on what wes thinks of your certifications in order to accept you.
I say proceed now. If you end up getting evaluated as masters you can use that when applying for the board. And you can just update cic accordingly but the thing is you don't need the extra points.
Also wait for others to input but that's my personal opinion and you are not required to follow it.

Hmm.. I checked all that. Without a license all I can work in Canada is as communication disorder assistant related to my profession. Anyways I got your point.
