Hi,

My brother is working as chef in Australia for more than 8years . I was able to get an offer letter for him in canada Restuarant.

What would be the process for him to proceed further? ( Like what kind of workpermit, or do i need anything more from employer ) .

If one of you could point me towards the right direction i would be able to get it done before i do something.

Thanks in advance

Hi

An offer letter means nothing without an LMIA. The LMIA process costs the employer $1000, has very strict requirements and it takes months to process, so most employers can't be bothered.

With the required advertising time, the LMIA processing time and the work permit processing times, it would likely take at least 6 months.

Some people get a work permit first. Other people immigrate first. Both are possible. Generally speaking, it's very difficult to get a job offer before you are a PR. So many people immigrate first.

As far as i heard ,getting a job applying for workpermit coming to canada is not that easy at all.
So, i would say migrate to canada.
