Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to know whether someone had made a soft landing in Canada, and after the PR card was received in the mail at the designated address, sent the same via mail to the home country so that entry could be made after the initial soft landing.

Is the same process free from hiccups? Anyone having done that in particular for Pakistan would be appreciated in particular but would be interested in senior members take on the same.

Thank you.

Sounds like you have a good plan. Worst that could happen is the card gets lost in the mail.

That is an unforeseen circumstance. What matters is that the process is legal and is something previously done. If so I would be happy to do the same.

Thank you.

People have previously done it successfully (not me personally, but I've seen reports of it being done successfully) but I can't attest to the legality of it. Just because people have gotten away with it, doesn't mean it's legal, and I'm sure I've read before that there are many countries in which mailing out travel documents, or having someone else carry your travel document across national borders, is not legal. But I'm no lawyer and I don't know what the laws are, in this regard, specifically for Canada and Pakistan.

The point of my post was to point out the only risk. There is no law of Canada that says you can’t mail a travel document outside of Canada. It’s quite common and usually necessary. This is also one of the most common questions asked on this forum. A quick search would have answered your question.

I had looked up quite a few threads. I am sorry not to clarify, but I had heard it was not legal from pakistan's side to have travel documents couriered.
Hence wanting to ask for someones experience.
