Congrats oulrish happy for both of u just a quick question, did ur wife show proof of funds when she travelled to canada? Is it okay of we show funds in the form of cash? Or does it have to be joint bank account?

Thank you Sangam. Actually no, she didn't have to show any proof of funds. She can have cash with her if she'd like but they will not ask for proof of funds since you're the sponsor and the proof of funds has already been taken care of through the application process. Hope that helps.

Hi everyone,

Did anyone of you had GIC status for additional documents as uploaded for a long time ?

It's been over two months since my GIC shows documents(schedule A & PCC)as uploaded. Even on ECAS I still have a line saying we sent you correspondence. In total I have 4 lines in ECAS.

Is that normal?

Doesn't seem much different to me. Did you apply for notes?

Yeah i had applied for notes back in july and got them back in August. In that, it showed eligibility was in progress and security and criminality had not started yet - plus according to the officers, they had reccommended a waiver for the interview and their notes seemed quite positive regarding the relationship. Im hoping it has made some progress since then. It has been showing bgc "in progress " for the longest time much like many other applicants here

Hey Application Twinnie! AVO here, April 28 applicant as well. Passed Medical exam October 6. AVO has been the slowest VO though... hoping for the best. The wait is killing me.

I checked GC Key this morning and although it still says 'your action is required' the Review of Additional Documents section has been changed to 'We do not need additional documents'.
I hope this means that the information I sent was evidence enough to prove that I don't plan on abandoning my family
