Yes. They are checking 1) do you have income? I.e do you need to file 2) did you actually file

I believe they are looking for a minimum of 3 returns in the last 5 years.

If you haven't it'll be a problem for your application.
Is it a problem if I checked Yes to required to file, even though I had 0 income ? I filed my taxes all years.

Please, I need some help with question 16. Is it just for the eligibility period, or it includes years prior 2012? Thank you
Item 16 is one of those which is problematic.

The situations referenced cover many things over various periods of time, including some referring to any time ever. However, the eligibility period itself is NOT relevant to any of them (although one applicable period of time incidentally corresponds to the same period of time as the eligibility period -- referring to whether or not the applicant had been prohibited from being granted citizenship due to misrepresentation within the five years prior to applying, which of course is the same as the eligibility period, but this derives from a separate prohibition provision unrelated to the eligibility period).

Thus, the applicant needs to carefully review all the listed situations, including their respective references to applicable time periods (at least one refers to the previous ten years for example; many refer to the four years preceding the day the application is made, at least one refers to any time since the applicant became a PR), and discern if any apply. If yes, then check the appropriate box and add a supplemental page giving details about that situation. If, for example, one had been issued a Removal Order for a breach of the PR RO several years ago, but the IAD determined there were sufficient H&C reasons to allow the PR to keep status, check yes that one or more of the situations applies and add a supplement page giving details about that event. Despite the (erroneous) implication the form gives, that if any of the listed situations applies that means the applicant is not eligible, the favourably resolved Removal Order is among a number of scenarios in which the applicant should answer yes and give details without any worry that it will be a problem.

Guys I just realized, I made a mistake. The section 6 asked to fill the table if I have ever used any other name. As I never used any other name so kept it blank but now realized it would be better if I would have wrote Not applicable or N/A. What are the chances by application will be returned :'(? Or they will call me to confirm before returning as official there can write NA by themselves? Please confirm. I am really tensed about it.

Personally, I feel it should be fine. Guide implies this table should be filled if you had a different name. Leaving it blank is logical.

Also, this new guide makes no mention of putting "Not Applicable" or "NA" in sections that don't apply to us like the old guide. (atleast I couldn't find it)

Never use Canada post/XpressPost for the delivery, that would be a "mistake". Recommend to use Purolator.
Why? Delays?

Why? Delays?
Slower then the others.

Difference is 3 business days against 1

Check the site secureship (dot) ca, it provides discounted rate between UPS, FedEx and Purolator along with different delivery option and possible delivery time.

You can purchase the service from the site whichever you like

That's what I thought as well but people are referring ong should write N/A if it does not apply to you. Which is also written at FAQ of CIC site as they said they want to make sure applicant reads the entire form and filled it properly.

Mine was delivered in less than 48 hours from Toronto with Canada Post Xpresspost. Dropped it off at the PO at 4:05 PM on Oct 11, reached Sydney at 10am on Oct 13.

No worries about Canada post! I used it with registered letter and had no problems.
Agreed. I have always used Canada Post priority tracking envelope and I have never had any issues! (fingers crossed ;) )
