Hi all,

I am trying to apply under NOC 1212. Would the following duties and responsibilities okey. Do I need to change, add or remove anything.

Would appreciate your support to fine tune this.

1. Currently functioning as the head of two operations units, with a staff strength of 43.

2. Review and evaluate processes and guidelines on a constant basis in order to implement more efficient and effective working processes covering all aspects. Enforce changes and updates to the implementations, if required, after having high level discussions with the immediate supervisor and senior management personnel.

3. Co-ordinate and discuss with senior subordinates for assigning of duties and responsibilities across all functions. Review the work handled by all subordinates through MIS, Statistics reports and through monthly or ad-hoc meetings, one-to-one discussions, and during yearly and half-yearly performance appraisals. Provide feedback and maintain work relationships to improve work, reduce wastage, increase efficiency and achieve given targets.

4. Evaluate and verify system records, reports against vendor statistics on services offered by the outsourcing company prior to making service payments.

5. Observe and record process lapses, errors and problems arising from the processes handled by the outsourcing company and report to immediate supervisor and senior management personnel and schedule meetings with the company representative to address the concerns identified.

6. Examine, verify and authorize customer requests received for opening & closing of accounts, activation of accounts, and updating of other static and non-static customer data.

7. Involve in preparing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with various business units on handling relevant processes and service timelines, to provide effective and efficient service delivery.

8. Establish work procedures, policies, guidelines; maintain correspondence and co-ordinate activities with Business units, Legal department, Risk department, Audit department, and other units.

9. Maintain correspondence with internal IT teams, system vendors for troubleshooting, implementations and enhancements. Submission of trackers to senior management personnel, immediate supervisor, system vendors and IT teams to monitor, track, escalate and to rectify problems without any delays.

10. Prepare and circulate guidelines, process manuals, instructions related to processes, products and services handled to ensure standardization, service continuity, reduce learning curve/ training time for new recruits and to provide best possible experience to customers.

11. Prepare and circulate MIS reports, status reports to the management and other stakeholders in order to track and monitor the statuses and to review the progress compared to previous reports.

12. Act as one of the main resource persons to conduct training sessions for new recruits, existing staff of other sections, new promotees, on processes and implementations relevant to both units.

13. Conduct ad-hoc training sessions for business canvasing teams on new projects and processes changes to improve canvasing and widen the scope.

14. Conduct constant training sessions for all subordinates on handling their duties, on changes to processes and policies of the company and new products & services introduced.

15. Analyze and estimate the supplies and material quantities required for day to day operations, ad-hoc requirements and seasonal & promotional requirements.

16. Request stationery items, letter heads, advices, document formats, first aid items, bulk Cards from suppliers. Request for computers, tables, chairs, Microsoft Office licenses, McAfee security login licenses required for new recruits.

17. Observe and review stability issues, flaws, errors, drawbacks, limitations of the Systems and, inform, discuss and present workable solutions, improvements, updates to avoid interruptions, service or process lapses, inefficiencies and other possible financial or non-financial losses.

18. Act as project leader for both units and as consultant for other units in implementing the new support system.

19. Record in IT HelpDesk system and inform IT team with regard to computer hardware or software failures and breakdowns identified in printers, scanners for repair and maintenance. Inform to third-party suppliers regarding repairing of scanners/ printers if under warranty.

20. Design Test Scripts and carry out User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) based on the requirements given for system implementations.

21. Gather information, propose methods, design/ write detailed process & flow and present to higher management of the compnay, IT Development teams and third party system vendors for initial review and cost estimates. Involve in designing the user requirement specifications with third party vendor, after final review and approval from higher management of the company, for developing and implementation of new system processes or improvements.

22. Design project plans, requirements, guidelines and system developments for the implementation of outsourcing projects and automations. Present relevant documents to the Outsource Committee for approval.

23. Maintain correspondence with outsource service provider on setting up and maintenance of required infrastructure and resources. Review the services and submit quarterly reports to the committee.

24. Respond and provide solutions to queries and concerns raised by internal stakeholders and complaints raised by external customers through the Complaint Recording System.

25. Provide consultation, support in completing complex documentation, and information on products, policies and services related to customer servicing.

26. Supported the Legal department in formulating the relevant outsourcing agreements.

You're in a Managerial position and applying under a different code?
Yes I am. But I cant find any other NOC code that matches my duties. I do more than what is mentioned in the NOC.

Would that be a problem if I apply through this code.

Job Title (i.e. manager or assistant manager) isn't relevant - what's relevant is whether or not you complete 75% of more of the job functions highlighted in the NOC Code, and there isn't any other NOC Code that more closely matches your job. You said you do more than what is mentioned in the NOC Code - under which NOC Code do your other duties fall?

In response to your original question for feedback on your job duties list, keep in mind that only you can determine your proper NOC Code and whether or not you job duties list is adequate or appropriate, because no one knows your job duties and responsibilities better than you do. Asking another person to give you advice on you NOC Code and job duties list is almost asking for trouble. That's probably why no one has responded to you about it as yet :) Be confident in your own assessment, and trust yourself.
