That's a bit strange for CIC to be calling on a public holiday....call them early in the morning..hopefully u will get some answers.

I called the number this morning and was spoke to someone. Its the government of Ontario citizenship and immigration. They believe it was a scammer. Good thing i didnt speak with someone. Its just ironic that the number belonged to them, especially because Hubby's interview is in 2 weeks.

Omg omg! I am so happy its unexplainable!! After a all the waiting and crying and being lonely, kva finally emailed us both interview for november 14!! It seem far but at least we finally have a date, and it's before my birthday, praises be.

Congratulations everyone, this is exciting news!! I guess long gone are the days when you simply got a Passport Request without interview. I guess we should start discussing interview questions and prep our spouses. My hubby is thoroughly annoyed that he has to "practice" interview questions.

Mine too. But better safe than sorry. I am like you know your wife but when a complete stranger is asking too many questions its awkward. I told him pretend its a job interview. We rehearse over the phone and we did in person as well.

We got interview date today for nov 8th. In the email thou they ask us to bring: passport pics, passport and any other proof of relationship.
My question is. For all you got that email. Did they ask i guys to bring any other proof of relationship?

Yes, they added a line at the bottom of the email to provide proof of relationship. I submitted an entire section just for the relationship including Facebook profiles. I am planning to give my husband the entire package before his interview.

They emailed us both on September 26th after I submitted a request online for status update (same day).

Use the web form to contact KVO http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/kingston.asp and they should respond if all is good. I copied the online status into my email to them and they replied with an interview date and with requests for the passport, marriage certificate, updated police record and relationship proof
