Like many people had pointed out, it had nothing to do with C-6, why would it be mentioned in this event?By any chance, have they cut down police certification time from 4 to 3yr. Extremely unlikely though.

That's precisely why IIRC won't release the new forms before Oct 11, because most people would mail them the same day. Please dont hurry. You have to wait until new updated CIC calculator and new forms of 3/5 rule are online unless applying under 4/6.

As I and many others explaine many many many many many many times already: The threshold for Police Certificates which is based on Section 22(1) of the citizenship act was not changed by Bill C-6. It has been clear since June that the Police Certificate requirements will not change.By any chance, have they cut down police certification time from 4 to 3yr. Extremely unlikely though.
Has anything been announced regarding applications that are submitted and already in process? Are we still going to be assessed on 4/6 rule after Oct 11? I know many forum members have already speculated it is unlikely we will get assessed on 3/5, but I am wondering if this has been stated in speech or somewhere in FAQ/newsletter. I did a search but have not found anything.Citizenship requirements for physical presence, language and knowledge will change on October 11. NO, all applications that will be submitted before October 11th will be assessed according to 4/6 without pre-PR credit. This is encoded in bill C-6 and not something that is at the minister's discretion or anyone else's.Has anything been announced regarding applications that are submitted and already in process?
