Hello everyone,

So one month ago, my wife has graduated from a master's degree program.
Through that prriod, I had an open work permit, and it expires in Nov. 30 2017.
So, after she graduated, we have applied for:
Me: Extend my open wirk permit
Her: post-grad open work permit
Our daughter: Extend visitor visa.

So the processing times average is between 3-4 months.

That's not my concern, my concern is we just opened an Express Entry profile, and our current score is 425. And we are workkng on increasing that score.
My question is, while applying for the work permits, they asked us if we even applied for a PR and we said no, but we just applied before our applications get processed, would that cause us a problems?
Other thing, if we grt an ITA, would that application interfere with our work permit and visitor applications and cause problems or what?

Thank you!

Pre-Assessed..
Creating a profile does not constitute applying for PR, your answer is fine.

No issues with extending your work permits and applying for PR at the same time.

Hi

Thank you!
1. You should note that if your OWP was based on your spouse's study permit, you will not be issued a another OWP work permit until your spouse receives a PGWP and is working in a NOC A, B or O job. You would then need to submit a copy of the job description from the employer and 3 pay slips.

Are you sure about that?

So do you mean that my current OWP extending application is gonna be refused?
I applied it along with my wife's PGWP application and also a visitor extending application for our daughter!

I just checked the CIC website and it says as you say!

However, I applied to extend my OWP along with my wife's PGWP in the same application, we also applied to extend our daughter's visitor visa. All together one month ago.

So does this mean my application is gonna be refused?
Will I have to leave Canada if it get's refused or then I'll be able to stay and apply for a visitor visa but I'm not gonna be able to work and I'll have to leave my job?

What do you think we should do?
Please advice!

Btw, we opened an EE profile 2 days ago and our current score after I get my education assessment done should be 425.
So do you think that would help in any way?

Thank you!

So, guys, I need to figure this out!

My OWP expires on Nov. 30, 2017
I already applied to extend it one month ago, but it's gonna take at least two more months to be processed.
I attached to my application a letter of employment for my current full-time job; I hope that is gonna support my application!

However, there is a high chance that my wife will get a type A or B job in 2-3 weeks, she's interviewing for couple positions. So, in case she gets a job, I'm thinking to wait for her first pay slip and then send a copy of it with a letter of employment through specific inquiry web form.
I'm not gonna wait for three pay slips because we might run out of time. Do you think that would work? And is the specific inquiry webform a fast way? Our applications are online, so would that work?

Also, I need to be prepared in case my application gets refused!
If it gets refused after my current status expires what should I do? Should I leave Canada immediately? Or I'll have a chance to apply to change my status from OWP to a visitor?
I need to make sure not to overstay my visa as we already opened an EE profile, and I don't want this to affect anything if we get an ITA!

Thank you for your help!
