Payment time for canada express entry

I am going to create and submit my profile for express entry canada , do i need to submit payment at the time for profile submission or later stage once the express of interest will done by canadian government . Please help to clear this thing for me .

You pay any fees only when you submit an "Application"
Creating an EE profile is not an application.

Thanks for your reply , But submit an application is first step of express entry and then after they will express interest on my profile and then i need to submit documents , is this correct please clarify . Thanks

Yes, once they ask you to submit documents you will pay the relevant fees.
