Typical bollywood style, standing outside your house, even if it is raining hard, mid-afternoon on a summer day, diwali, christmas, new years. Relentless.

Hi,

It could be for not declaring the previous US visa refusal. Canada and the US share immigration data. Or it could be for some other reason.

I have answered your previous query here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/visa-refused-under-a16.505595/

You can order GCMS notes to see the observations/notes made by the visa officer

Cheers

You should be prepared for worse or the worst i.e. a TRV refusal (worse case scenario which actually isn't as bad as a 5-years ban)..... or a 5-years ban for misrepresentation (worst case scenario).

We have seen applications (people who genuinely misunderstood this question/ Canada PR applicants/ parents of Canadian PRs and citizens) refused and banned for this reason
Hello bryanna it seem that your responses are very helpful to everyone. I want to share my problem of student visa.
I received a message on my cic account that they have confirmed from the University that my degree is fraudulent. And they have given me 30 days for any representation regarding this. I told my consultant regarding this and he told me that visa officer has just bluff because visa officer has doubt on your degree. My consultant told me not to worry and he is preparing format with his lawyer for reply. Now i am so worried about this because if visa officer is not going to satisfy then he will put 5 years of bann on me.
Now what are the possibility of getting visa?
Plllzzzzz help me out.

The VO and IRCC aren't generally the types that bluff and the letter you have received (procedural fairness letter) isn't something you or your consultant should take lightly. Essentially, IRCC is ready to reject your application and are giving you the opportunity to respond to their findings. You'll need to explain why or how they have made an error ( and I am sure they have already followed up, so if it is fraudulent they already have the proof). You need to review anything and everything your consultant send before he/she sends it as you are ultimately responsible for anything submitted. If they proceed with rejecting your application and banning you for misrepresentation, your chances of obtaining a visa to Canada, along with most other western countries will be extremely difficult, if not impossible. Make sure you have the facts and evidence included in your response to the letter.

Thanks you for your reply.
My consultant told me that you have to ask University to mail you that its valid degree and also the person name and contact number of that University so that visa officer can call and ask whatever he wants to ask . This both details have to be send to visa officer.
Now plz let me know that what exactly should i do? Should i withdraw my application??

You could request to withdraw your application, but at this point it would be IRCC's decision whether or not they do. And realistically, they have already made a decision and are waiting for you to dispute the information. I would think at this point, withdrawal would only make their decision occur sooner. So the question is, do you have the supporting proof that your degree is legitimate to submit to them or not? If you don't, expect a rejection and ban for misrepresentation.

But what supporting documents should i provide to visa officer. I mean how should i prove that my degree is 100% geniune. Should i take a letter from my University and submit to visa officer?
How to convince visa officer now?

IRCC will not allow you to withdraw your application at this stage. In fact if you do submit an application to withdraw, it would only confirm their suspicion (and their investigations prior to issuing the 'Procedural Fairness Letter').

IRCC would have conducted their investigations to determine whether or not your degree is genuine. Nonetheless, they are still giving you a chance to present your documents and explanation.

1. Did you obtain your degree from a college/university which was de-recognized? Or is now defunct/non-existent? Or blacklisted?

2. Did you/your consultant tamper with your degree for any reason (and issue that version to IRCC)?

3. Do the details of your degree certificate match what you had submitted in the study permit application form?

Yes my University is registered under ugc and it is not in any blacklist.
And yes my details are same and matches what i submitted
My consultant also don't have problem with my degree.
Don't know what is going wrong with me and visa officer
