March applicant. Just spoke to an IRCC agent over the phone. She said I have passed everything and my application is at its final stage. She said I should hear something soon but she can't tell me when... So basically I got nothing...

Don't rely on call center and I heard the same thing 3 months ago and still waiting (Dec 2015 applicant).
Ugh... Seriously, what are they doing? If everything is fine why not just send ppr?!
No one knows but if they do security screening for you (most Asians with research background), without any clear reason it takes a long time. Even CSIS did their part but there is no sign of any movement from IRCC. They claim that CBSA has a backlog and they are not sending clearances to IRCC. I know many people from July-Dec 2015 that are waiting. Tried everything including petition, media, MPs and nothing changed. Most of us have been living in Canada for several years)
Sorry am not clear with your situation. I saw were you replied to "connieyes" and said the same for you, meaning everything has passed. So is it that they are still processing your background check or has it already ccompleted?
But I was told that I have passed the background check so basically there's nothing left for them to do. I don't understand why they are dragging. I applied for BOWP already and hopefully I can get that approved soon! Otherwise I will lose health insurance...
You don't know if your security passed or not and you cannot rely on a call center agent to say ok everything is done. I have no idea if my security has passed or not because they delete info regarding security in your note. Based on my note I know I passed eligibility, med, and criminality in Nov 2016 and from early April my security has started. I can say only that CSIS has completed my security based on their status letter.
Order a GCMS note and that's the only way you can find if your file is in final review or not. If you are inland then your file has to be transferred to Ottawa for final review. If you can see that your file has been transferred from CIO, NS to Ottawa means that you are in final review.

July-Dec 2015 that are waiting? So there is no hope for Jan 2016 applications for this year? I hearted that Aug IRCC let some Dec 2015 applications. If July-Dec 2015 are waiting, I guess the best way for us to apply EE.
It's the same thing in EE if they want to do security. I know people have been waiting for more than a year in EE.
