Hey Guys,

Thanks a lot for your help by providing this valuable information.

I just got my OINP nomination this week, then the ITA and I have some questions for the experts especially @BillHyatt,

1- At the PROOF OF FUND, shall I mention the amount in how much as CAD or leave it with the local currency?
Write it in CAD and include the source (website). If I was you I would use https://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/ the site used by immigration offices in most parts of the world included here by UKVI.

2- If I want to upload a file with a lot of pages and by using the lowest resolution but still it exceeds the 4 MB / or with using the lowest resolution the pdf is not clear, what is the solution?
Only attach those pages that are absolutely needed and skip those not required by IRCC. I prefer using FoxitPhantom that allow reducing file more than 80%. This includes setting DPI with your own preference without damaging the quality of files. You can get a trial version once you have all documents. If still nothing works then just attach maximum documents with the front page of Letter of Explanation in which case officer will ask you to attach files later on without rejecting application considering it incomplete.

3- Shall I have to upload all the supporting documents as I did with the OINP (ex: old passports), and if so I think they will just require the biographical page, can I upload the whole passport in this section?
No, need to upload the whole passport. You are only required to attach first two pages (Photo & Sign) and other pages with Visa and Sign. If you can get a file under 4mb then you can add previous passport pages (same as for the current passport).

4- During filling up the CIC application, there is the question of the activities of the last 10 years, at this period there was an overlap between getting my master and working as teaching assistant, so shall I put each activity individually (when did it start and end) even there is an overlap between them? / and for the unemployed periods, at the EMPLOYER/SCHOOL/FACILITY tab, I have to mention NOT APPLICABLE?
Yes, it can overlap but there should not be any gaps even for one day. For Unemployed periods you can write N/A for Employer Tab but again don't leave anything blank.

5- During scanning the required documents, for the translated ones they have a copy form the original document, shall I upload with them the original document itself (ex: the marriage certificate)?
If you are submitting translated copies then you need to submit 1) Original Scan Copy, 2) Photocopy of the Original document attested from public notary 3) Original Translated Version of the document attested from Public Notary 4) Original Affidavit of Translator attested by Public Notary.
You are not required to send a Scan copy of Original Document but it will be then asked later on. So it is better to attach it to the application.

thanks in advance,
I hope this will help. Good Luck.

Actually you deserve to be more than Hero Member,

Thanks a lot for your guidance.

So for for the Proof of Fund that means I have to make a LOE mentioning in it the equivalency to CAD, or I have to get it from the bank itself.

And shall I support the translated documents with the public notary even if it translated by a certified translator form Ontario (ATIO).

For PoF you have to do it on your own with reference to website and date it was converted using the closing balance (Explain in LOE under Proof of Funds Heading ).

If you have a certified translator in Canada then neither you need public notary attestations nor any affidavit of Translator.

Thanks @BillHyatt 4 the great help always provided...

-Its the first time to know that I must convert the POF balance...i thought that was part of the officer job..according to the currency conversion value during assessment

-Another thing...I got 3 passports (2 old one current)...my wife got one old and ine current...so we have to attach onlythe main personal page(we dont have signatures in our country's passports) and all new and old oages with visas only...or any page with stamo is required...again we will issue a travelling certificate which includes every single travel in and out our country in tge last 10 yrs to make it easier 4 assessment
-For the personal photo...i will make the photographer stamp and write dateon the back and will write each family memeber name and DIB Myself...then scan each photo front and back and place each in ONe PDF file is that enough?

1. It is not required to calculate value in CAD but it is preferred to do it. It shows analyst that you have done proper working and trying to make process easier. However, you are required to indicate how much money you are willing to bring to Canada in CAD during application.

2. You need all pages with visas and stamps also that is primary evidence of travel history. Travel certificate will make things easier and clear but will be considered only supporting evidence.

3. For Application you only need a Digital Photo (best is to ask studio to email you the Digital Photo) of Front in JPEG format. You will not attach the backside with all these details written on it. This is needed at the last stage of the application and sometimes during landing.

I hope this will help.

@anwar01 I have the same question. If proof of a status is for a relative in Canada then you are required to submit their PR Card Copy. If you are claiming points for sibling then you need PR Card, Family Certificate that proves you are siblings, and also an evidence stating their current proof of stay/address (this can be a bank statement/rent agreement).

I hope this will help.

I have clicked on question mark in front of tab and that shows that I have to upload PR card or Passport of sibling in that tab. But I have already uploaded citizenship card in other placeholder specific for Citizenship card for sibling. I guess its a duplicate tab and I am attaching once again Citizenship card in this tab.

Brother, how to mention home country visit in personnel history, I mean what to select in the 1st line (employment, unemployed, educational activities etc.)
