Crap.

Another draw with increasing CRS and spots taken by people who are never ready with their documents.

Wasting valuable ITAs and my youth, if there is any youth left in me. ITAs all taken by spoon-fed babies who never do any research let alone read instructions.

Crap.
Not cool!

Hi Every one,
First of all Heartiest Congratulations to all those who got the ITA yesterday.
Need suggestion from the seniors.
Im the principle applicant age 38 applying with spouse. self double bachelor and wife is bachelor (as per ECA). Presently At CRS 416 (missed ITA chance due to delayed IELTS 13th May exam result). Birthday on 1st Sep. In our latest attempts I and my wife have obtained CLB 9 AND CLB 7 respectively.
1) In order to proactively pursue more points should we both give another IELTS try considering 5 points reduction on 1st Sep (if some miraculous draw (s) does not happens by that time)
2) which IELTS attempt out of multiple attempts will be considered "the best" or "the latest"
Seniors pls. Guide.

Would you know if there is another forum post-ITA? I am also applying from the UAE.
Check out this thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ready-reference-steps-to-follow-and-documents-to-arrange-post-ita.455826/ . It has a lot of info about steps and possible issues when preparing your application. You must've received the ITA in the one of the previous two draws? I've already started compiling my documents and I'm halfway there. If you want, you can inbox me and I'd be happy to support with what I know (though not much!). All the best with your application!

Please allow me to write something off topic. I submitted my profile yesterday. My CRS points have been upated but I was not given points for uncle/aunt who is a canadian pr. Am I not supposed to get the 15 points for the uncle/aunt catergory?

Points are only for your siblings or your spouse or common-law partners siblings if they have PR or citizenship.

All IELTS scores are valid for 2 years from the test date...you can choose to project whichever gets you more points

Guys, can't put a link, don't know why but here's copied article, a bit discouraging, what do you think? Quora site if anyone's interesting for further research. Name of the article: What are the pros and cons of immigration in Canada" written by Elssa Neri

Hello!

As you stated that you are “ looking for uncensored deadly honest opinions regardless is the offend or discriminate”, I will give you my deadly honest experience:

If you come to Canada, you will be seen as dumb, underqualified and you will have to humiliate yourself and beg on your knees to many arrogant locals to give you even an unpaid internship, even if you are actually smarter and more qualified than them. “Canadian experience” is seen as the best quality one might have and without it - you`re nobody, even if you have a Master`s degree from Europe (which is a lot harder to get than the Canadian one, by the way) and 10 years of professional experience with amazing references.

I was told that you can immigrate to Canada only to mop up floors but I didn`t believe it until I felt it on my own skin. No one will be willing to give you a chance. It`s my experience, it`s my friends experience, basically - I`ve heard very few happy stories where everything turned out well.

If you`re a highly qualified European specialist, I strongly advise to stay in Europe - you will be fare more appreciated there and your education and experience will be seen as valuable on the contrary to Canada where they don`t give a damn about you whatsoever.

That`s my deadly honest experience unfortunately. I don`t see any pros at this point. Been here for a few months and I`m basically being ignored by whomever I turn to or even worse - I get a reply with a meaning “go f**k yourself, you are not welcome here, you sh***y immigrant”. The savings are starting to dry up and I still haven`t moved forward not least a bit. The same with a few of my friends who have moved here around the same time I did.

A few of my friends, very highly qualified professionals from Europe, who had immigrated a while ago - some of them work in shops or restaurants, a couple of them just moved back to Europe and currently live a great life.

Conclusion - Canada thinks they`re the best country in the world and everyone else are not worth anything. My advice - if you are a great professional, don`t go humiliate yourself, you`ll have a far better life in Europe.

All the best!
i also read her write up too. brutally honest..fantastic info...but you see, it can go either way...
