It looks like IP2, you should be getting your PPR request soon. Maybe even this week.Hi everyone,
Today my Background Check status got changed to 'We are processing your background check' (for last 1 week it was 'Not applicable'). Can anyone please let me know how long do I need to wait till I get my ppr?
I am CEC inland..
AOR - May 8th
Med passed - Jun 6th
Background Check - Not applicable - Aug 16
Background Check - We are processing - Aug 23

Baby will automatically be a Canadian citizen provided you are here legally ( WP , SP etc ).
You will definitely have to let CIC know about the change in your family, raise a CSE with details i believe ( not exactly sure about the process - there were similar cases in the past with your same situation, try finding it in the forum ).

It's completely up to you. You can definitely do the landing and apply for PR travel document ( if you don't get the PR card before your travel back ) if that is the way you want to go.

In my opinion, you're more likely to face administrative hassles in Option 1 as compared to Option 2. My recommendation would be Option 2, as long as you have a couple of months for completing your landing in Canada. You might find the link below useful:

Hey i have no idea about ehat ip2 is but my lawyer said i was lucky my background check status changed with couple of hours and got the PPR usually it takes 15 to 20 more days when it is on background checkHey @shivam06 did your file ever go to IP2 status?
