I guess you are getting confused between GCkey and ECAS. Following is the link to go to ECAS and check the status of application.


https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

Enter all info (Sponsor) after that you need to click on the Application Status. If ur app is in progress it will say "in process" otherwise it will say "Decision Made". In both cases you should be able to see 3 lines. Saying App rec on --- date, Started Working on ----- date and we sent you AOR on ---- date.

I just realized on the Generic Application, instead of my husband address, telephone, and email address, I wrote my own address, telephone, and email address because it would have taken a long time if they had to try to contact him instead of me. do you guys know if that is going to be problematic? His address is on the additional family form.

Who is the principal applicant (PA) ? It is better to give them the right information, else they will send the form back to you. I am the sponsor and my wife is the PA. Initially, we used my address for faster processes, but everything was returned to us. My wife has to sign the representative form to allow me collect her mails. Better to save yourself some headaches.

I'm new to the forum. I got my AOR letter today my application was received on July 12th. yet even though cic asked me to upload sched A and PCC no option in available for uploading them I contacted webform about technical issue and waiting for the results. someone told me I can upload them directly through webform is this true?

Have you linked your account using the PA`s info?

If you have you should be able to see Check Status and Messages option on main account page in
submitted applications or profiles section

If you click on this you will see on bottom left hand of the page that comes up a View Submitted Application option... click on this and you will see option to uplaod requested documents

Thats exactly what I did but once I click view submitted application the page says "there are no required documents for this online application" and there is no upload button or requird documents.

ahhh ok that`s weird... seems like there is some wonky stuff going on with a few applications. I just got off the phone with them and apparently I got SA on the 17th but haven`t recieved any email or anything yet. He put in a request for them to resend and update my application.... still waiting... good luck with yours
 
Use UCI and Application Number.
Skip Country and City completely.
Enter all passport information of the PA.
Enter destination information.
Caps letter does not have any impact.

Have only just stumbled on this forum this evening and grateful for all the information. We applied in early July (received July 11) and received AOR today (August 21). We are at Missasauga processing centre.

But I am immensely frustrated by trying to link to the online account. I have followed the instructions in the spreadsheet tab and on this post and am getting nowhere. If we have a child, does that bring our family member count up to 3? I put 2 on the application form? And where did we put in on the application material the intended destination? I thought I am doing it right but am second-guessing that one now and can't find where they would be taking the information from.

It doesn't feel like technology is making my life any easier right now...

Yes, to link the application the number would be 3. The sponsor + principal applicant + dependent children. Keep trying, hope you're able to link it soon. Good luck!

I would put 3.... also Are you using the UCI that the Principal Applicant recieved in their email? I was able to link just fine using the UCI and Application number found on PA`s email and I made sure I left nothing blank as others have suggested

If you look close they want information either "country/city" OR "passport information".
Just use one, you will be fine.

Make sue you use PA's UCI, File number.
