Guys especially @legalfalcon @KiranK and other experts, I have a peculiar situation on which I need your guidance -

I am one of the people who passed medicals fairly quickly and since then have been stuck on IP1 (AOR July 9th and MP July 20th). I reside in the US. My wife recently had her H1 approved and will be going to India from Sep 7 for 15 days to get it stamped. I will be going separately from her to apply for a dependent visa, as I need to wrap up some stuff here in September.

Now my question is what happens when we get PPR in the following scenarios -
1) Before she leaves on Sep 7 or during her India stay - Can she submit her PP in India and I can send mine to Ottawa?
2) When she is back and before I leave (I have to leave by Oct 31st at the latest) - There is no guarantee that I will get my PP back by oct 31st, so this would be scary. Two sub questions -
a) Can I ask for extra time apart from the 30 days they provide to submit both our PPs when I am back?
b) Can I submit mine from India and she sends her to Ottawa?
3) If she gets stuck in India (due to a delay in her H1 processing), can I send hers separately from mine? i.e. I send mine when asked to hopefully get it back before Oct 31st and hers after she gets it back from the US embassy?

I know its a very complicated question, but will appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Lastly, should I order GCMS notes now? Its been 40 days since my AOR. Is it too early?

YEs. When you get the PPR, you will need to send a email to IRCC and request for change of VO and make sure that you mention who will send the passport where.

Yes, just request by email.

b) Can I submit mine from India and she sends her to Ottawa?
YEs, see the answer to 1 above

3) If she gets stuck in India (due to a delay in her H1 processing), can I send hers separately from mine? i.e. I send mine when asked to hopefully get it back before Oct 31st and hers after she gets it back from the US embassy?
yes

You should, that will help you know what stage your application is at. If you have crossed eligibility, you are in very good shape, and with the agent notes you will also see if there are any issues with your application.
To read the different stages of an application see - https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

You can order your notes from https://www.getgcms.com

Thanks. Have you ever had anyone ask for an extension on the 30 day window? How easy is it for IRCC to approve?
Many people seek extensions, and it depends on case to case basis.

hey guys, here is my timeline. unfortunately, as seniors mentioned, i am one of the unlucky ones whose application is stuck in CIO Sydney and i have been stuck in NA since July 26. My docs status was uploaded on July 22 and then on August 19 it changed to we need more documents to continue... but i have not received anything - no email, no letter in cic account, no placeholder in the submitted application. I am sooo worried :(

AOR - July 10
BG NA1 - July 10
Medical passed - July 21
ADR Requested (SG pcc) - July 21
ADR Submitted (SG pcc) - July 21
ADR Uploaded (SG pcc) - July 22
Docs Status Uploaded - July 22
BG IP1 - July 22
BG NA2 - July 26
Docs Status We need more - August 19

File was still at CIO as of Aug 3.
Emailed twice already after Aug 3 for update and no reply.

Please help ! I called CIC on 17 Aug and got to know that my file is at Ottawa and has been approved but I haven't received PPR yet. Is there's something to worry. When the file is approved I couldn't figure out why delay in PPR ? Also could there be any additional checks during this time between approval and PPR ? Thanks.

Hey Toby, nothing to worry about. There are many here stuck at Na2 in Sydney. Mine is June5 AOR and on Na2 since 10th July.
Regarding your doc status, in my opinion you should call Cic and check if they need any document or is it a tech glitch(more likely).
